Been there. basic room, very small with little light, but had a very functional queen size bed and isn't that what we really care about?
Also, nothing creepy crawly that I noticed and that is a deal killer for me. where did you find the 1300 rate? I might need a hang-out for June 28.....

Posts: 102Best GF place in Malate in P1000-1350 price range?
OK, I'm a Cheap Charlie...chronically tight budget, trips every 6 months, seems like a double whammy on purchasing power every recent time from higher prices and worse exchange rates.
What's the best GF option in the P1300 or so range? Am looking for something in walking distance of LA Cafe.
Am looking at Citystate Tower at P1300. Any experience to share there? Have walked by it many times but have never stayed.
Have stayed in Soriente at 1349 and it might be a fallback.
Rothman is higher on the price range but also a known.
Anything good lower than 1300 also appreciated.

This Ermita Hotel is in Adriatico Street, 50 metres from Robinson's Department Store and the associated four storey mall.
Two floors form the hotel: 12 and 14.
Security at the front (with rear near Cherry Blossoms Motel open during business hours) is slack, but completely GF.
The rooms are variable. My room was nicely renovated but suffered from the noise of the LA Cafe band some nights. Aircon is noisy, but effective. The beds and showers are acceptable, and storage space adequate.
When I returned from elsewhere I requested a room on the other side of the corridor and was given 1207 next to the lifts. It was quieter as the noise from G Point's 2230 hours commencing nightly band did not reach up as easily as the LA Cafe's band.
My toilet overflowed but was fixed by the young maintenance man within the hour.
AT US$40 if booked through www.midlandplaza.com, this accommodation is acceptable if somewhat dated. The lifts (only one of the two is in service during most of the day and all of the night) are a bit slow but the staff do not hassle you.
6.5 or 7 would be an appropriate rating, because it is very well located with the shopping at Robinson's for mens shirts and ties an added attraction.

This is good info. I think.
I've seen these places but they always look more like parking garages than hotels. I assumed they were cheap and sleazy, and were for drive in "short time" customers only. Did you walk in?
BTW, I have nothing against cheap and sleazy.
OH, what do you mean 24 hours? If I check in at 4pm, do I then have the room till 4pm the next day? If so, that sound like a great deal for the night owls like me.
Hope you can add some info.

I've RTFF and after spending my last visit near the LA Cafe and G-Spot, I want to try the EDSA area.
I see the Heritage and Copacabana are right across from EDSA and have read several poor reviews for the later one.
Can someone refer their favorite hotel close to EDSA?? Favorite mongering hole (pun intended)??
Also, after reading about the P3,000 bar fines, with tips required at Burgos bars...it may be time to head back to AC or Subic. I saw EDSA prices half of that on Burgos.
Be safe....

Posts: 148Oxford vs. City vs. Cherry
Guys,
I've RTFF and still can't make up on my mind for accomodations in Manila. I keep reading conflicting reports about the hotels mentioned above and would like to single it down to one choice. So far I'm leaning towards the Oxford but should you be able to steer me away, I'm open to suggestions.
I obviously want to be based on the Makati side of town...
Thanks in advance.
