I've considered getting an AirBnB and just leaving early, but wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions. Trying to keep the budget minimal since I won't actually be sleeping there.

If I remember correctly I do think I did the half day stay / rate at Riviera Mantion (across the street from New World Manila Bay Hotel better known (still) as the old Hyatt Casino Hotel). You call them and ask because I don't think those rates are viewable online.

    Short Time Option?

Security at front door. Less than P1000 per day. Found it 29 yrs ago and never stayed at any other joint since. Like and old shoe, nice fit. About 10 room Pensionne, family friendly environment. Not giving address. Find your own shoe box lads, they are out there.
Old shoes are good ones, but they needn't be the only ones. I acknowledge I hadn't thought of pensions when writing the comment. Seems most fellas here are in the p2000 - p4000 per night tier, and the shoestring lifestyle and travel is often ridiculed when one mentions bus travel, street food, and the like.

Your pension poses an interesting challenge; would airbnb not only meet it, but perhaps even beat it? To beat it, I consider amenities beyond those found at a pension, such as a kitchen, swimming pool, and / or gym. The airbnb place had to have TV, aircon, and security. The daily linen change can't been met because these aren't hotels, and I have no way of finding out whether they have double-thick brick walls. You win those two categories.

I set the stay for a week in Sept (17 -24), daily rate not to exceed p1000 (I used the peso as the currency), and applied filters like kitchen, pool, TV, AC, etc. Eight results, 2 of which are in Malate and 2 Makati - one at the corner of Kalayaan & Makati Ave, which makes it a short walk to Burgos. Of the 8 this is the nicest, https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/4042372...out=2016-09-24, which happens to be one walking distance to Burgos.

    Who wins?

    The consumer.

The places I stayed would have had no girl friendly issues. It occurs to me that p4 p girls may even be impressed with condo rentals; makes it seem like you know your way around. But some of the condo complexes have security stations, and you may have to help check the lady in past security. They may also be reluctant for you to enter with a large menage. Just tell security the extras are visiting for a short time. Remember that the downside on apartments is that most have no cleaning or linen change services, although they may be available for a price. You are on your own, although some of the apartment complexes have drop-off laundry that may turn it around in 24 to 48 hours. Places I stayed had advertised good WiFi signal, and they were right: better than the signal in many Malate hotels. Another possible hitch: if your international flight arrives late it may be less convenient to get the apartment owner to meet you at the unit after midnight. (Although in my two stays they had made arrangements for somebody to meet me.) Never an issue with that at hotels.
Good info. The 'girl friendly' issue is non existent for all practical purposes. Everybody here knows what you are doing. Act with decorum, you'll be fine. The more expensive the hotel, the more likely they will real functioning security, other than that tally ho!

Extremely unlikely a private condo will have any rule about this. Play it straight, usual common sense don't break / steal stuff, don't annoy others yada yada. Ancillary staff will observe & remember your comings & goings.

I would have said no as it was very very third world but I believe it has a looooong overdue reno very recently.

Consider also Victoria Court Gil Puyat. Cheap, clean, quiet, efficient, HUGE rooms.

Great breakfast buffet with all kinds of food stations and the residence lounge with food all day and free flowing drinks and enough finger foods to make a dinner out of which I have been doing the last few nights. Yes it is a really shitty area with people sleeping on the sidewalks across the street. Great health club with wet and dry saunas, and an Olympic pool as well. I like the Suite I have with a view of the Bay on the top floor and individual temperature controlled rooms. It's also a short walk to the Robinson mall and LA Cafe as well.
Yes I booked through their website. Initialy I booked the Bayview suite at 16 K something pisos (taxes incl). But after 1 day I upgraded to excecutive suite. It is what it is. I like spacious surroundings.

Yeah and most people are. I've just come to the conclusion that, and I travel 250-270 days a year, I want to obtain my life simulare to back home. I feel strangled in small rooms with only the small minibar you can not open totaly bcs the bed is to big (no pun intended). This Shang room and the stay here are to much and no matter what kind of money I do / did have its simply not worth it. This room was more dedicated for hosting gangbangs with 12 ladies and 20 guys or just plain biz meetings. Staying there alone felt in away a tad laim (after I realized what I'd done). Well I wasnt to much alone in it to be frank but I for sure didn't host any gangbangsparties there.

Do the girls care if it is a nice room in a posh hotel or a dreadful worndown, pussysmelling lovehotel?(debated over and over again). Some do some don't would be my sane answer to that. I tend mostly direct my action to, lets call them, middle / upper class kind of girls (with a few obvious exceptions). The exceptions could fuck in a carpark I am sure and if I brought a blancet they would call it lux. For my other girls which mostly come from and live in furnished homes I do think its of some importance that I don't live in a dump. Based on the number of selfies taken from the girls visiting I do at least think they got some nice FB updates a few days later. That beeing said the meetups was set long before I knew where I was staying.

Something between the dump and Mactan suite would be fine I believe and this would be the places where I mostly stay.
