Seems I am not alone in this world who has a sense for ethic.

Yeah, LA Cafe stands on that tripod. You'll do just fine there. Exactly what you're looking for. Great food too.

Agree I didn't post much in here in the past 3 years and fully understand the often RTTF.
Agreeable am I actually a beneficiary of your countless contribution which I regularly read.
Nevertheless there is no posting which I cam across that would give an indication of hotels in makati with room connecting doors.
If you check my posting history since 2011 (which isn't much) then you will see that I am trying to answer any question to which I know a reliable answer.
As of field reports; most of the posting are about FL's which I consume with joy, however I for myself don't get the chance in Singapore too often, no it's not because of missing FL's it's more the guardian around who prevents me from taking part.
I will be in Manila for 4 days and hope to be able to take samples from there which I will gladly contribute. The comment of worth to report, is more related to my last year visit, which was just 1 night and left a bad taste of phill.
What happened was that I followed some of the leads I gathered here and went to a nice place with nice girls, but they new I was unfamiliar with Phil and upon asking for a price, they stated 100 us each.
Of course I was aware that this is overpriced and I wouldn't pay that, so I refused and the price dropped.
Now the thing about me is that I am willing to pay an honest price, but under no circumstances do I negotiate with someone that is trying to rip me off.
Having said that, the price drooped to 1000 peso which I still decline as it is my principle not to engage with rip offs.
Hope you understand that there is a difference to me for a reasonable negotiation versus a negotiation that starts as a rip off attempt.
So this time I hope to find a nice place, with nice girls AND no rip off policy.
Again, I really like all your contributions and pictures, I enjoy them a lot and hope of being able to add some as well.
Appreciate any advise you would share to find such place, however having done my homework so I won't ask this question.
Have fun.

One reason the older guard often tells newbs to RTTF, or ask us in PM your questions, is that so many newbs ask questions, get answers, and we never hear from them again. Taking without giving.

Many hotels will have but you must ask and request in advance. I did with St Giles when I booked online and then follow up with a phone call to make sure the request is noted and not "on availability" (which mean not sure or they will forget the request IMHO).

Are you looking for connecting rooms? (This is what I guess you're looking for.)
Now I'm really curious about this.

Posts: 206If you are looking for a new hotel in Makati I stayed at the Tune Hotel just off P Burgos at the top of the hill this past August. Don't book through their site I think they charge for towels etc. Hotels.com it was $39 USD per night total and its very clean. The rooms are very small like a Microtel no desk no nothing but a queen bed that's all I need. There is a nice 24 hour sports bar attached. I actually stayed there twice that trip and they held my bags (2) for 10 days with no probs. I think there was supposed to be a fee but they forgot to charge me. I have had bags stowed in many hotels around manila with no probs ever. Before that I stayed at Casa Bocobo many times which I liked and before that Swagman (turned into a dump since the Chinese bought it) many more times both in ermita. I just got tired of all the bullshit in Ermita.
I used to stay in Makati up until about 5 years ago and I think I will return again. I just usually need a night or two there in between trips to the provinces or AC. I try not to have any free nights with no girls lined up but if any thing fell through, I'd rather be in Makati than Ermita. The bars in Ermita are crap and I only made 1 trip to LA Cafe or whatever its called and I wasn't impressed. That whole surrounding area feels very unsafe, I can't explain it, I'm just not comfortable. I never felt unsafe in Makati.

FYI. I booked 6 nights at the Holiday Inn & Suites Makati. Total price is. $925.54. That includes the 22% tax and service charge. Following that, I have 4 nights at the Pan Pacific. Total cost was. $701.64. Ouch! Booked both through hotel.com. It's ok if the company pays, but if out of my own pocket, will have to go back to Las Palmas. Enjoy. Safety first.

Anyone have recent info on the Traders hotel? Last post of any detail was from 2008. If not, may take one for the team and report during my next trip. Previous post said there was a bar with take out in the basement. I'm guessing that's gone, but would be nice to know before booking.
