No trouble whatsoever as I really enjoy prior research and following the recent trends and sources for our hobby.

If I were you, I would obviously think first of a nice hotel with on-site upmarket Nightclub with a sexy atmosphere. Following an easy romantic dinner in or out, a few slow dances and you should be able to gauge her mood, response and interest. I always go for Hotels with Nightclubs on site in EE countries as its still a legacy from the olden days and its still popular with women late 20's / mid 30's.

Is Italy her desired holiday destination still on your Plan?

Re traditional entertainment?? It depends on how long you're there for and what you're looking for as best entertainment is Thursday through / Saturday but hoes are always around to be found at Hotel Bars, Clubs. . Hotel Planenta and Hotel Yubileiny to name few but the quality isn't that great.

I have just returned from Minsk having spent the perfect weekend with the truly perfect lady. She may be in her 30's but she is drop dead gorgeous (she was a former Miss Belarus finalist) and the sweetest person I have ever met. I will never discuss details but suffice as to say I have fallen in love.

What follows is not really a Monger's tale but as there is such a dearth of information on this thread I shall nevertheless share what information I gleaned whilst being happily married in Minsk.

First off you do not need a visa if you fly to Minsk and are only staying for 5 days. You do need insurance but it cost $4 and can be bought on arrival. You do need to say where you're staying on your immigration card so just book a decent hotel in advance it's really not that expensive.

Second Minsk has to be the safest capital in Europe. I lost my phone on arrival and on reporting the fact to my hotel reception they immediately said: "don't worry, no one would steal from the airport" (there are upsides to the old CCCP) and sure enough they made a call and my phone was ready for collection when I departed.

Thirdly Minsk is the cleanest and quietest city I've ever been to. No (I mean no) rubbish, few policeman and in fact few people. It is a laid back sleepy place where everyone seems to be incredibly polite and helpful. Granted my girlfriend is Belarusian but even so everybody seemed happy to help. The only exception are passport control who stare at your passport like some scene from the Great Escape.

Fourth there is an innocence about the place. You don't get frisked in nightclubs. There's no long queue outside with menacing bouncers. There are no ostentatious displays of wealth by the local oligarchs or indeed Turks. Most of the people you'll meet are young Belarusians on a night out.

The girls also seemed younger and just more innocent than in Kiev. None of the Devushkas you'll see in Ukraine.

Went to Rich Cat (30 rubles entrance and similar price for a cocktail) which was literally heaving with girls, very few of them looked like pros or semi pros but I'm sure some of them could have been bought a drink. The place is hugely entertaining: they even set light to the bar.

Also went to the nightclub at DoubleTree by Hilton. Spent $100 dollars on champagne in order to secure a table with a great view of the Minsk skyline. The place was heaving, again almost no security or face control. Seemed to be a slightly older crowd and largely made up of parties / tables of Belarusians and a few foreigners. Here I definitely got the look from a few girls despite having a former supermodel on my arm. The girls seemed in general to be a bit more sophisticated. They had a great live band if you're interested in that sort of thing.

Dined at the Grand Cafe which is truly chic and has prices to match but I did not get the impression there were any girls there. However if you've got the cash it has to be the ultimate seduction joint.

So do I prefer Minsk over Kiev? Well yes but I'm not sure how easy it is to get laid there if you haven't made plans in advance. I will of course return in fact I could see myself getting married there.

Can anyone confirm Visa free travel is only up to maximum 5 days for Canada / USA citizens?? And only through Minsk airport.

Day 1: Arrival.

No money has ever been requested and indeed her only request was for separate rooms which I have of course booked. What should I expect? How should I approach this? I have extensive experience of Kiev but everything I've read says Belarusian girls are different from Ukrainians.

Jojo - I noticed somebody in Minsk was advertising a car & driver service I'm assuming you try to get English speaking guy who can act as interpreter / wingman as gaming non-pro girls much harder without a Russian speaking wing I have found.

In Asia when I travel I love easy mobility having a car but have not any success in Kiev for this.

Do you have any contacts for such a role?

I really think you should go for it as I am sure you' the like Minsk and its opportunities. I've done Minsk many times and I have no Russian or any EE language and it didn't stop me from enjoying myself there and in many Towns and Cities all over Eastern and Central Europe.

Minsk is different to Kiev when it comes to hunting. From the info you posted I think you should go for it and find out if you click with her and why does she want to go to Italy? Did she specify any Town, City there?

Ask her if she's got a SCHENGEN VISA? If there's a scam, then this will be it as quite few UA and Russian girls would come up with this story about needing few hundred $$$ or Euros to get the visa to be able to travel on a date and then disappear.

2 Separate rooms in hotels and apartments is what I do on my mongering trips anyway and I know many girls love this arrangement, so I don't think there's a catch there in what she requested especially on a first date.

Minsk is a goldmine once you establish contacts there.

On my first night there on the first visit and after few drinks I just walked up to a group of young girls on the street and said, Hello, I am new here and I want to party, they giggled at first and told me to meet them at Midnight at Westworld club. Took the chance and went to the Club (WestWorld) and at around 1 am the prettiest Blonde in the group with her very attractive brunette friend turned up there and 15 minutes later Blondie was DFKING me on the dance floor. Conversation has followed and photos and numbers have been exchanged. Expecting the usual request for money I have dropped all the usual hints but none of them have been taken up. We've arranged to meet in Minsk and her only request is for separate hotel rooms. She wants me to take her to Italy but insists that we first get to know each other in Belarus. Is there a catch? I was in Minsk recently, just before new visa free travel. I didn't have any problems getting visa anyway. I asked one Mamba girl for her contacts and simply used those in my application.
