Minsk updated! – part one;

After a shitty morning with cancelled flights from Copenhagen due to bad weather I finally arrived at Minsk2 airport! The airport from outside looks like a space base in a movie! 16 minus at 3 pm! Take Russian lessons at MGLU (Minsk State Linguistic University), and ask for accommodation in the student hostel (obshchezhitie). The term Oriental refers to peoples from parts 1 and 2.

Since Asia is the biggest contintent, it has the most races.
To call Asians a race, is a misnomer. It covers too much
ground, a third of the world's land mass, two thirds of the
total population.

This is the key. Asians aren't a race, they're a large group of
different races from 60 countries.

Racism can come from ignorance which can come from fear
of what people don't know or understand about other cultures.

Its a common problem for un-educated people, and also
for educated people who are simple-minded small thinkers.

Unfortunately, there never has been nor will be any shortage
of racism to go around in the world. You need only to look
at the intensity of racism that asian groups have TO EACH OTHER!
(Jap cruelty in WWII, Indians v. Paki's, Sunnis v. Shiites) Thats
enough hate to keep the uncivilized bastards busy forever!

On the bright side though, from a mongering perspective,
to master the art of asian pussy, means that you have loads
of serious studying ahead of you.

You have taken on the biggest subject that you could possibly
choose, so don't sit around wasting time. Get out into the field,
complete your assignments, and submit your reports to be

You're right. Maybe I should specify that, by Asian, I mean more Chinese/Japanese than Indian (in fact, I'm Vietnamese). Rarely seen an Indian or Pakistanese in Minsk, so no idea how they are perceived.

CharlieH is right, at the end of the line, it's your personality which matters. However, for first contact sometimes physical appearance (which includes skin color) do too.

Some girls may not like Black or Asian. Just move to the next one..... It's their right, like it's mine to prefer Russian girls to xxxxx girls (insert the nationality of your choice, I don't want to start a flame war ).

Coming from an ex-French colony, I however understand the concern of some Asians as we have developped some kind of inferiority complex over the years, were not allowed in white men's club in our own country, not to mention to speak to a white "lady" (and you can be beaten to death if you dare to). But that's things of the past, and don't exist in Eastern Europe as a general issue anyway.

I am under the impression the word Asian in British English refers to all the people from the Asian continent. I hear BBC news refer Indians, Pakistanis or even middle easterners as Asians. Is this true? I'm not a Brit. So I find the word very confusing and misleading.

In American English, Asian refers strickly to Chinese, Japanese and Koreans and others that share similar physical features. So for clarity, I'll only refer them as Asians in my post.

I agree that for example, Japanese and Pakistanis vary greatly in every aspect. Or Chinese and Indians vary greatly. I'm still not an experienced monger in Russia. And I have no idea how Indians, Pakistanis and Iranians or whatever are received by Russian women. Actually I don't think I have even seen any of these people during my trips there. Maybe I just don't pay attention to guys (busy shagging girls). And I've never discussed it with the ladies. Russians tend to have better perceptions of Japanese, but could just because Russians think all Japanese are rich. I don't know. When I was visiting Vladivostok, most of the hotel guests were Asians and I didn't think it was a problem for local Russkis at all. I saw only a couple Asians in Moscow but I was told they're Russians, not foreigners. Whatever that means.

This is just a wild guess so don't quote me on this. Some men from Indian subcontinent and Middle-East could be mistaken for Chechens or Georgians. So there could be potential problems with racist Slavic Russians. At least for an ignorant guy like me, I can't really tell the difference. The street shashlik vendor could be from any of these areas for all I know. Amid recent anti-foreigner sentiments in Russia, if I were from the above regions, I'd think twice before going to Russia.

And if I were forced to make a wild guess as to which group of "Asians" would do better Russia, I'd go with North East Asians (Japanese, Chinese...) Is North East Asians even the correct term? But anyways you know what I'm trying to say. Darker skinned "Asians (don't you just hate this confusing word?)" might not be as popular as other groups of men.

There's also been historical integration/intermarriage among Slavic Russians and Asians (Orientals, people, not rugs, don't you just hate this word as well?). It happens a lot, much greater than the integration/assimilation/whatever you want to call it in US. We just don't hear Russians talk about it. Because it's "normalo" for them, no big deal. Russian state was ruled by Mongols for 2 hundred years. There is even a phrase in Russian that goes like this, if you scrub a Russian really hard, underneath the white skin lies Mongol or Tartar blood, or something like that. I read it in Lonely Planet. Siberian pelemeni (dumplings) look almost the same as Chinese dumpings. And if ask a Russian what's her favorite food other than Russian, chances are she'd say Chinese or Japanese-my favorite food as well.

But bottomline is, imo, it's up to the individual's qualities, not where he comes from that determines the outcome. This applies to love, academic or professional achievements, etc....You can have a white guy that looks like Brad Pitt, or Adam Sandler (feel free to insert someone ugly). You can have a hedious looking Asian dude that will get nowhere with Russian women, or you can also have some dude that looks like a Japanese or Hong Kong movie star. And I'm sure some great looking Indian guys can do very well in Russia, or anywhere else in the world. Hell, isn't Liz Hurley banging some Indian billionaire?

I'm sick and tired reading Asians, blacks, Indians, purple people or whatever color on the rainbow paranoid about their chances with women in Russia. I'm also disgusted to read some fat, old and bald white guys from the West, or even worse, from former Eastern Bloc countries (payback time I guess) thinking Russian women will just automatically suck their dicks like the last piece of fried chicken in the bucket. I don't know which one bothers me more. Everybody should have a pretty good idea where he stands with women already (see my baseball analogy in previous post).

I also received PMs from certainly the same guy (with zero reports) asking the same questions about Asians , and some more about safety in town and non-pros. Just to add a couple of things to CharlieH's report:

1. Already said that again in again in the Belarus section, but I'm Asian, over 55, and never had a problem walking in the streets at 2am with one (or several) young girls less than half my age (some even having just one third my age ).

2. Also no problem about safety, and I visit girls in suburbs where I wouldn't dare to go in any other Western European cities.

3. For non-pros, being able to speak Russian helps a lot. Even if they understand English, most pretend they don't. Also, it's better to stay in an apartment. Non-pros don't like to go back to hotels because of the security check in hotels.

Somebody PMed me (he probably PMed everybody that posted in Minsk section) and asked how Asian men are received by Belarussian women. I've seen this kind of questions ad nauseam on this board. I thought I'd share my 2 cents worth at once. And I'm under the impression there are quite a few Asian mongers in EE. But very few people, at least very few self-admitted Asians here share their experience. Judging by their written English, they probably live in the West and have experience dealing with white women in their home countries. So there you go, you should know how to set your expectations.

Going to a foreign country, a healthy amount of nervousness is natural but it's gotten out of control on this board. Asian men on the board are paranoid, even worried about being treated poorly by hookers. Oh boshe moye, this is a bit excessive, isn't it?

I can't switch my skin color at will to test if women would treat me differently based on my skin color(s). Anyways I was only in Minsk for a few days, I can't really say. I saw maybe just one or two non white people there, and Minsk is not a small city. It's probably the most racially homogenous city in the world. I mean, who wants to go there anyways? Honestly I don't know how people see non-whites in general. There's hardly any.

I did not see hookers in Minsk. But I'd think skin color doesn't matter much to pros. It's just business. Minsk isn't the best place for seeing pros, but it could be a great place for freebies if you live there.

I've never been to Baltic states but I'd venture to guess that Belarussians would probably be more friendly towards Asians, or any man. Thing is, everybody should do better in Belarus or Russia than in Baltic states. They've been admitted to EU so women there are free to roam around Europe, to where the grass in greener (the West, or I should say the real Europe). There are also a lot more foreign men in Baltic states so the women there have more exposure to them, therefore reduces the exotic/God factor for us foreign mongers.

Bottom line is, every man, regardless of skin color, should do better in EE than at home. So the best way to set your expectation is just to set it a little higher than what you can do at home. That's the best I can say. If you can only hit singles or doubles at home, you can hit a triple or even a solo homer in EE. If you can hit solo homers at home, expect to hit grand slams in Motherland. And if one can never get a hit (single) at home, he might be able to sneak in a single there should he hustle. And if one is a filthy billionaire, he can do wonders in EE. But he should be able to do well at home, too.

A friend in Minsk has told me the best clubs at the moment are Club Max, Alkatraz and Izoom, Alkatraz and Izoom are in the same building on October Square.

Any taxi driver or person undre 40 should know where they are.
