Same holds true for most Central America joints though I have been to some decent places in Guadalajara. These are sex clubs disguised as estéticas (that is what they call themselves) but the rooms and overall facilities are nice in many of them and the girls are usually shown in a line up for your choosing.

If I recall, you just hangout in Bananas and wait / hope for the right one to come along. Several years I met a hottie from MDE there and asked her to come to my hotel room instead, which was right across the street at a boutique style hotel. That scenario worked out quite well as she like the environmental change and hot showers as well. I had her over a couple of times. Most of the girls in Bananas, if they are not from there, stay at a house several doors down from Bananas. Though one time, I was over in a shopping arcade and saw a girl working in a shop who I recognized from the club.

I agree that this is a question frequently asked by chicas who may want to hustle you in a negative way.

I've spent about 4 weeks in Cartagena this year. Hoes frequently ask where your friends? I always say around the corner at the other bar, or with a Chica. Or my friend has an apartment on a different floor. I never admit to traveling solo. This is when it pays off to be seen casually chatting with other travelers at the bar. I also have a cool Colombian dude I sometimes barhopp with, of course his beers are on me. But the Chivas with bad intentions definitely target dudes who are solo. Be careful! Have fun, but be careful!

I guess I'll have to start being extra careful. Who knows when one of these girls are going to travel 4,000 miles, sneak into the US, figure out where I live and then break in to rob me.

Because I've gotten that question 100 times and it's usually after I tell them I live in the US.
