The girls in Bananas are really pigs. A few months ago there was Paula. She was a doll and has left. The restaurants in Santa Marta are some of the worst I have ever experienced. Can't wait to get out of here in August after one full year. Why anyone would hobby here I can't imagine. And right now it is hotter than hell.

What didn't you like about it? Where did you stay, can make a difference. Were there many other tourists around? There are definitely a few good looking chicas available in Bananas, what night of the week were you there, was it busy?

Just don't think there was much to like about Santa Marta. Crap beach for a start. The one redeeming feature was a pretty lively bar and restaurant area, but personally don't see why you wouldn't stick to Cartagena unless you intend heading out to Tayrona or elsewhere to the East.

I stayed in the old town in a nice boutique hotel. So living quarters wasn't an issue.

Bananas was about half full by the time I took a girl upstairs. A handful of tourists.

Was going to stay in Santa Marta a couple of nights but frankly didn't much like the look of it so stayed just the one. Ended up in Bananas at 9 pm. Was pleasantly surprised that there were 4-5 good looking women in there (20-30 on total). Was expecting worse. Anyway ended up going upstairs with a Venezuelan cutie (cost was 150-200 k cop) for the hour. One downside in my experience so far in Cartagena and SM is that the women don't seem that sexually experienced. Neither do they want to give OWO or 69's or kiss. Well that's my experience anyway.

Ok, I went to Coco Bongo Disco last night. It's on Calle 12 con 4. It's in a run down part of the centre. Lots of locals trying to sell you stuff in the streets at night, and I don't mean arrepas.

Free entry. Once inside, you enter the bar area, which has a pool table too. Only locals hanging out. By the sounds of it, it's pretty much all Venezuelans working there. Bar staff were friendly. Beer dirt cheap.

In the back room is the disco, with laser lights and loud music. Maybe 10-12 girls. Dunno, I went about 9 pm.

Girls were all 2-3-4 out of 10. Way too many curves in the wrong places for me.

I went back in to the main bar area and started chatted to a women. She was so old, fat and ugly that I thought she must be the owner or mamasan. But utrns out she is game too. Price are CP 50 mil - 80 mil, depends on the girl. Rooms on site, plus also take outs available.

Maybe another time, someone might see better looking girls. Just reporting my experience.

Yes, I noticed them there as well, nicer dressed, and charging almost double than their sisters at Parque Bolivar. And it's all good!

Errrr - yeah guys, don't go to Santa Marta, it like, really sucks big time, just like other mongers (who live there for some unknown reason?) are often trying to tell you !

It sucks so bad that I went there for 5 nights and ended up staying for 12 ! Bananas is so bad that I went 8 times and had 4 sessions there!

Did you believe any of that? I actually can't lie as I really liked the place. There's enough to do for a week there. I also had a great BJ in the massage place on Carrera 3 in the middle of town (which another punter mentioned earlier), and a great session with a very curvy young Venezuelan SW walking along the seafront road. From my experience there are more SW's along the seafront road near Parque Bolivar and in the park itself, than in Parque de LOS Novios, where they are not so obvious as its busy with locals and tourists.
