I forgot to update this thread lately - the promotion is still valid.

The promotion for ISG members as follows:

Promotion Option No. 1:

Those members who stay in Livingstone’s Lodge for at least 3 consecutive nights will receive a voucher worth THB 1,000.00. That voucher can be used for a Steak- or Thai Dinner in our restaurants, to reduce (hopefully huge) bills from the sports lounge (including bar fines), or it can be presented during check out and will then deducted from your final room bill.

Promotion Option No. 2:

Those members who stay in Livingstone's Lodge for at least 5 consecutive nights will only pay for 4 nights.

Promotion Option No. 3:

Those members who stay in Livingstone's Lodge for at least 8 consecutive nights will only pay for 6 nights.

Conditions:

- The promotion started long time ago and lasts until 31.10.2009. Most likely it will be prolonged then.

- Members must send a PM to Giotto before arrival and identify themselves with their real (check-in) names that we can identify them as forum members

- Members must stay at least 3 nights, having booked directly (not via Travel agencies or Internet booking systems)

- Members must post at least ONE REPORT about their Bangkok travel experiences during that specific visit on the board, and inform Giotto per PM about the written report

- If the voucher option is taken the voucher will be issued for each stay, returning members will receive a voucher every time they stay here for at least 3 consecutive days.

- If the upgrade option is requested (Promotion Option No. 4) we need the request for that as a PM or E-Mail before arrival, to enable us to perform the necessary reservation planning.

After experiencing rising support from a large number of forum members staying in the Lodge the Management of Livingstone’s Lodge has decided to introduce an enhanced Promotion for ISG members as follows:

Promotion Option No. 1:

Those members who stay in Livingstone’s Lodge for at least 3 consecutive nights will receive a voucher worth THB 1,000.00. The room rates for the room categories, valid until 30.04.2007:

Superior: THB 1,800.00 ++
Deluxe: THB 2,600.00 ++
Junior Suite: THB 3,200.00 ++
Executive Suite: THB 4,000.00 ++

Prices include breakfast and internet access (!).

Deluxe rooms, Junior Suites and of course the Executive Suite have usually jacuzzis and balconies, but due to the fact that the rooms were built into an existing villa the layout differs for each room.

Five rooms have double jacuzzis.

We encounter problems with the administration of the ISG discounts / vouchers again and again. Members are departing, and the confront our front desk staff and ask for the discount, when they receive the hotel invoice. And nobody at the front desk knows anything.

Sadly we had some members already who did not post a report, promised to do that later, receiving the promotion - and never any report appeared anywhere on the forum!

For that we will NOT accept any promises for the future any more. There is a workstation on the groundfloor, where you can write your reports. And there must be enough time for that, if you stay in the Lodge for some days. Otherwise - no promotion, no discount!

Please note the procedure to follow:

- Contact Giotto per PM or directly (during your stay in the Lodge), that we know the connection between your handle and your check-in name.

- Make sure that you post a report in time, and that Giotto knows about this report.

- Make sure that Giotto knows the kind of promotion you prefer, there are different options to select from.

Giotto will then make sure, that the promotion is entered in our hotel system, and then everything should work fine.

The bar fines in Soi 33 (and in Livingstone's Lodge Sports Lounge) are mainly in the following range:

- Hostesses: THB 1,500.00
- Receptionists: THB 2,000.00

The standard is set by Renoir since years.

We in Livingstone's lower those rates at 11.00 pm to make the decision easier for some customers, and normally then there are only two opening hours left. The After-11pm-Prices are:

- Hostesses: THB 1,000.00
- Receptionists: THB 1,500.00

There are some bars in the road who even go lower with their prices, but we will not. The BF business is the smallest profit center of our business, and I want it to stay like this. If people only come because of the girls they can go anywhere in Bangkok.

PS:
The ++ means: plus 10 % Service Charge, + 7 % VAT.

This is the usual way of hotels in Thailand (and all over Asia) to show the room rates. In the internet booking system you see rates INCLUDING those charges.

THB 1,800.00 ++ :

THB 1,800.00 + THB 180.00 Service Charge = THB 1,980.00
THB 1,980.00 + THB 138.60 VAT = THB 2,118.60 total room rate.
