Germany is a big country! Just because you have visited Frankfurt and Dusseldorf, does not mean that all parts of the rest of Germany are as affluent as the people there!

Not only good well paid jobs in Germany, but many low level part time jobs, and East of Germany or deep Rhur are not Munich or Frankfurt. Some German WGs have also normal job. Ask them about.
