I planned to see more of Berlin, but I just did the bare minimum of work, and kept going back to Artemis. A couple of Berlin night clubs look like they would be fun, the Kit-Kat club and Tresor. I researched the Berlin night club scene a bit before arriving, and some of the gals confirmed that the two clubs above would be excellent. Hhrrmph, maybe next time.

To me one of the most appealing things was the location. It’s located in the middle of a large (and vibrant) city, and so the public transportation can be used to get there and back, which saves $$$. On my previous trips to GT and LV I’ve stayed at a hotel in Moenchengladbach, rented a car, and drove for half an hour to get to either club (Bruggen / Karst).

So my reasoning was that if the talent level in Artemis was comparable to Golden Time, this could become my preferred club for future visits.

I visited Artemis seven times last week, and my general observations follow.

Pros:

* This place is well managed and the system well thought out. The staff work hard, the gals perform a good level of service, the place is clean, and the system in place there just works. I saw the owner several times during the week I was there, and the manager daily, which for me is a good sign.

* You can sleep downstairs on a sofa or lounge chair, and nobody will bother you. This is more of a bonus to those of us who travel from afar.

* I liked the separate dining area. They provide real food for all but a few hours during the afternoon and wee morning hours. It’s not gourmet, but when you’re hungry it’ll do.

Cons:

* The girls approach you, and many don’t take no for an answer. It’s not as bad as Palace in Frankfurt, but close. After being politely but firmly rejected, many of the girls act insulted and argue or pout, which creates a bad vibe. I have to say though, that from talking to the girls at Golden Time, many have complained that a lot of men go there, eat the food, and just sit around and lounge without ever going to a room with a girl. Maybe the policy of letting the girls work the floor is a way to get the ijsberen off their butts and into a room.

* I would have to say that overall I found the talent level at Artemis lower than what I’ve seen at Golden Tiime over the last few years, at least for my taste. I read some reports of mongers describing a “sea of blondes”, but this was not the case last week. The ratio of natural blondes to all others was roughly about 1 in 20. There were some very attractive girls there, but I did’nt see any real stunners, but of course this is subjective.

I arrived at the Berlin-Tegel airport at 7:40am, and took a taxi to my hotel. Since it was too early to check in, I put my suitcase in a secured room by the lobby, and then went out for a walk. It was a sleepy Sunday morning in the Charlottenburg part of Berlin.

At the nearest S-Bahn station, I studied the kiosk machine to determine which ticket to buy for my ride to Artemis. I determined that the AB Tageskarte was the right one for 6.10 euros. The "AB" refers to the zones on the map that are closest to the city center. It's not possible to purchase a ticket for the "A" zone only. If you don't have the correct change or your card does'nt work, it takes 10 euro bills. You then stick the ticket in another machine so it will get stamped, and you're good to go.

I went back to the hotel, and they had a room ready for me (around 12:00). I slept for about an hour, and then went to Artemis via the S-Bahn.

I entered Artemis around 3pm, and after showering and walking around a bit, I found the talent level pretty low, but it was mid-afternoon on a Sunday.

I spotted an attractive girl with long dark hair, and 15 minutes after entering Artemis I was off with:

* Patricia from Portugal. Tall, dark eyes and skin, long dark hair. In the room she asked if we should stay an hour, and I replied that we should do a half hour and see how it goes. This report start at Thursday, when IFA wasn't open yet.
I arrived at Artemis at 17.00, just after checking in to the hotel (Kronprintz).

It was pretty relaxed and no one was really. I took some time and cruised the floors a bit, answered some attacks like "First time here? - Wan't to go to a room?"
