Lbc,
Sorry but I just realized I will not be in town that week. I will be back in the US for a couple of weeks around that time. Sorry, maybe we can meet up in Frankfurt sometime or when you are back in Berlin.
BTW, I did meet up with IPM in Thailand. He was very cool and showed me around Pattaya as it was my first visit.
Have a good trip to Berlin and hopefully we can meet at another time.

Posts: 103Hotel suggestion: Hotel A & I Königshof
I can recommend:
Hotel A & I Königshof
Stuttgarter Platz 7
10627 Berlin-Charlottenburg
Tel.: 030 / 31 01 37 0
Fax: 030 / 31 01 37 79
It is next the S-Bahn Charlottenburg and then it is only one station from Westkreuz, that is the S-bahn station near Artemis.
The rooms have private bathrooms.
Prices 45-49 eur in not trade-fair periods.
There are other cheap hotels in Stuttgarter Platz.
Have fun at Artemis.

Maybe the U bahns and S Bahns are operating again at 5am so it should be "klein problem, neh?"[/QUOTE]If you are going to be taking in the museums like I am, I doubt that you will stay at Artemis that late anyway. For myself, I'll likely do a late afternoon to evening shift and get back to my hotel by midnight. I think the public transit still runs until 1 am during weeknights.

Once I was visiting with a friend who wasn't into this. We'd both get back to the hotel after dinner and I'd sneak out for nocturnal visits to sample the Berlin scene.
Berlin has a street scene plus Sexkinos too. The Berlin thread has numerous listings of apartment bordellos.
The choices are amazing.

I just Google Earth my home to my train station and I realise each day I walk 1.5Km one way and that just takes me 15 minutes no problem so maybe hotels 3Km are okay. Broadens my circle.
I just want to sort out the this piece of my Berlin holiday booking and then not wory about it until the hazy days of August.
Next step is finding some other like minded mongers or punters like Jaysleef who are also keen to be there at the same time.

Posts: 752I saw some rates from chain standards like Holiday Inn Express and Comfort Inn that were not too bad at all and they have free breakfast. I believe that the HI was not too far from Artemis. Worth looking into.

Interesting that a double bedroom is the same cost as single bedroom at €70 per night or €210 for my 3 nights in Berlin.

I do like the price of €40 to €49 a night for the single with hand basin and sharing the bathroom.
Thanks again Jackyo,

This is the one I've stayed at in Berlin.

Its address is Schlueterstrasse but it is right on the Kudamm.
It has an interesting history. Helmut Newton once lived in it.
