at GT certainly would have demanded that anyone called Brat Wurst be allowed in, Brother Ortos.

Incidentally, I've been going to clubs for years, but I always have backups for every club stored in my navigator, just in case.

Saying that, from my experience German and Dutch people (particularly Dutch) do not always conform to this stereotype.

I have not heard any stories/rumours about Southern European or Asian males having difficulty gaining entry.
Saying that, I believe that Romanian/Turkish males may have had some difficulties gaining entry in the past.
This might have something to do with the fact that a number of the girls working in the club are from Romania (as are their pimps! ).
If you wish to gain entry to GT, my advice would be to arrive at the joint at a non-busy time, perhaps early afternoon.
If you have an auto, be polite to the security guy who directs you to a parking spot.
Somebody suggested earlier that tipping the guy might help, but not sure myself if this is necessary.
A big smile and a friendly “Hi there” (in your best American accent) to any/all GT staff, will do no harm.
In my opinion, all this stuff about guys gaining entry or not gaining entry to GT on racial grounds is not proven!
In no way would I condone a selective entry policy based on the color of a person's skin.
However, I would give stories of this nature more credibility, if an ISG member of some standing was denied entry.
I give people with one or two posts in this forum far less credibility, as one can not be sure if they have an agenda against the club or not.
However, allowing for the above, I am sorry to hear of Brad Knot's difficulties, but this might have been an isolated incident and not necessarily racially motivated.
I do know that if you arrive at the club dressed like a hill-billy, a chav or a brother from the hood, you will have difficulty gaining entry no matter what the color of your skin.
I am sure this was not the case with Brad Knot.
Smart casual dress (i.e. shirt/rugby shirt/jeans/clean sneakers/trainers etc.) and a polite manner definitely helps.

I agree with Ortos. If this not a good topic for discussion, I don't know what is. Driving to GT for 4 hours and not be able to get in!? Got to suck big time. I would be livid too, especially if the guys behind me get in.
I wonder if we can call them ahead of time and see how busy they are, let them know you are going to be there in a couple of hours and ask if they are "too busy" and sending any people back. It is highly unlikely that they would say on the phone, "yes we are sending some people back. Please don't come". It might help to take the name of the person who answered the phone and drop that name if they try to refuse entry at the door.
I have another suggestion (which I have suggested before): If you fit the ethnic profile, tip the guy that helps you park your car, 5 euros . Even if he does not help you find a spot, tip him to "watch" your smart car. He generally radios the "profile" if they are very busy and close to being full. Being on his good list can't hurt.

Posts: 7121I have never been turned away at any club (OK, I do look German, my fault). And I have never seen anybody being denied entry at GT or LR. But at PHG (some years ago) two Dutch guys (caucasian european look) were denied entry without any reason. I was standing behind them, the woman opened the door (keeping the "cage" shut) and told them that they were not going to get in. Discussion led to nothing. They left, she opened the door and let me in.
It's the clubs right to denie anybody entrance as it is their house, same as any restaurant, disco or hotel. It just should not be done because of any racial categorisation. There's so many German, Dutch and other European idiots I would like to be denied entry.

It is strongly rumoured that this club is selective on racial grounds, particularly when the club is busy, and particularly with people who's genetic heritage is primarily from the African continent.
However this rumour is unproven, and there is no guarantee that anyone will gain entry to GT if the club is busy.
