Of the 80 trains that leave Frankfurt am Main for Cologne every day 45 travel direct so it's quite easy to avoid journeys where you'll have to change along the way. These direct trains cover the 153 km distance in an average of 1 h 35 m but if you time it right, some trains will get you there in just 1 h 3 m.

I'm planning a trip to Europe in early to mid May. I've been to Europe during this time frame in the past, and the weather was for the most part nice. At the FKKs, when do they start opening the outdoor sections of the club? Are the outdoor pools heated. Also, what is the protocol for swimming? Nude or with bathing suit?

Outside swimming pool are not heated, too cold for me. I need water in Miami = nearly 30 degrees.

It depends on the clientele of the club I would say. German / Belgian / Dutch dominated = nude, Turkish / Asian = underwear (if swim at all).

I would Message you but you don't seem to have membership. Nevertheless if you visit the SP thread or look at my posts from July 2018 or June 2019 you can get a good feel. Really? That information is everywhere.

Entrance is €40 or more in most clubs for a day ticket, most common is €50 but that is inching up. You then negotiate with the girls, typically €50 for 30 minutes for BBBJ & sex. The girls try to upsell you as it's been that price for more than 15 years.

First and I know this is a broad question, but what should I expect in terms of an atmosphere at an FKK? I like high energy and a rave like setting.

If there were a combination of rave and FKK in Germany I think I would have found it by now since I would love the combination. The closest I have encountered is Samya Cologne and Mainhattan Frankfurt on a weekend night. I do not really like this, the music is to eurodisco / softcore for me.

If you like me love hardcore techno / trance music, Germany is paradise and my humble recommendation is to do what I normally do, both! I start party at a underground club somewhere at about midnight, party until about 6 in the morning, sleep until 11-12 am, visit a daytime oriented FKK with good food and facilities where I spend the whole day bathing, sauna, fucking, eating, chatting with friends and drinking apfelschorle. The germans have really invented the perfect place to cure a hangover. Then I maybe repeat this procedure if I started Friday.

Some clubs have larger VIP rooms, or rooms with 2 beds. I suppose one can always make bargains with girls. But it could potentially cost more than its worth by the way these girls calculate. Haha.
