Living in the Phlippines requ9ires a lot of patience. I have a home on the ocean i9n Leyte and I enjoy it but get bored quickly. I like City life.
Virtually few if any of the regular Filipinos speak English above the first grade level. After reading the posts of those much more knowledgeable than I on the Philippines laws, I think that my idea of having a vasectomy is even better than I realized. I have been thinking about this for a few years (actually since I separated from my now ex-wife in 2005) , because I did not want to father anymore children than I already have. He said that "40% of the men who visit the Philippines each year come here for sex trade". What a dumb ass! I mean even I stop and think before I make any statements to ANYONE. Sending money to the Philippines has always been a challenge. With children here I need to be able to send money to the Mommies on a regular basis. Placing a large sum in a bank account in their Name or sending a large sum (ie: $ 500) at once is unacceptable. Any one of the little ladies would take and utilize ALL the money for imagined "needs" or "emergencies" within a week. Wolfgang, GM of Apoview Hotel in Davao City says I am optimistic in thinking they would allow the money to sit there for such a "long period of time" as one week. It is just impossible for a filipina to NOT spend any and all available money the moment she gets her hands on this.
Fifteen years ago I learned this the Hard Way with a Filipina in Cebu City. I left just before December 1, having spent the long US Thanksgiving holiday with her. I had opened three bank accounts in both our Names earlier in the Year in anticipation of getting married. Before leaving I left her these Accounts just in case she needed a little money. I returned exactly three (3) weeks later to find that she had spent 100% of the money I had deposited over the year. It amounted to about 60-70% of her annual earnings working at MEPZ in a factory there in Lapu-Lapu City. ANd she had a BS in English degree from a College in the Mindanao.
I later was to learn what I initialy suspected. She had a Filipino boyfriend who took the money for alcohol, drugs, prostitutes, etc. Important things. ANd she gave him the money, MY MONEY! Now I do not think any of the Mothers are as stupid as she was or as devious. They each could very well have a boyfriend hidden but I am sure as hell NOT giving them access to any of my money.
In any event I finally got set up online with Metro Bank in the Philippines. I established ATM Accounts in the Names of each little mother. Using my Bank Account I transfer via the internet amounts in pesos directly into the Bank Accounts of each mother. This works perfectly and saves me much time and thousands of dollars in wire transfer fees to send money via Western Union, Moneygram or Xoom (cheapest but also inefficient and prone to fuckups). I decide how much and when to make the transfer and it is accomplished immediately. For transfers to Accounts not in the same Area as my Primary Account (such as to Leyte, Cebu or Manila) , I pay a 25 peso fee; about sixty cents US.
I recommend this for all guys who need to send funds to a girlfriend or wife or mother of your children in the Philippines. Having a bank account there also reduces the need to carry large amounts of cash with you on your Trips. ANd it also is great for times of emergency.

Now I always ask a girl for her Facebook (or Friendster in the past). Her Facebook wall, friends list and photos will tell you so much about her. If she says she does not have a an account she is lying 99 percent of the time.

It IS a Place, as my Father once appropriately stated to me as a teenager, where you would NOT wish to spend a single night, let alone several years (I was complaining of a light sentence dished out to some piece of shit). Now just imagine how much worse the INSIDE OF A PHILIPPINE PRISON MUST BE.
No, I do NOT think any of you would want to find out. Yes, a few of us do have funds available, and perhaps, other influences, to get us out of Trouble. But for me, I will avoid this situation forever. As I said, I met several women who told me they were unmarried, only later did I find that a husband was "sitting in the shadows".

I've deleted all of the separated and single ones with children I selected in Filipino Cupid as potential contacts for my next trip to the Islands.
