This maybe old news but was told last night by the manager of a nice restaurant in AC that the rest of the BJ Bars on the east side of Santos will also be torn down eventually. He mentioned that he heard some would try and move out on the perimeter FWIW.

I believe in the US, Globe charges 20-30 pesos per outgoing text. The problem with chiika is that you can only send 3 messages before your friend replies. Otherwise you will get a message saying that there is an anti-spam blocker and you must wait for your friend to reply before sending another message.

Actually, you can still use your cellphone overseas with international roaming, but this only applies to Smart.

30 minutes before you leave the Philippines you need to set your phone to international roaming by sending an text to 555. As long as you have sufficient credits on your phone, more than 300 Pesos, I believe, it will remain active and allow you to send and receive text messages from overseas, however you cannot make voice calls.

Smart deducts credits from your account each month which allows you to use international roaming, but there are three ways of topping up your account whilst overseas....

Globe also has international roaming but I do not know the details.

With Smart, you send the text message "Roam On" to 333.

Still another way to send load to your HK, and to your roaming cel, through PayPal, is to download chikka version 3.0.49 to your computer.

Outgoing chikka text messages from your computer to HK's cel are free, but she pays P2.50/160-character msg to reply. If she texts back instead to your roaming cel, she pays only P1.

Texting from Canada works.I have some GFs who text their friends/families all the time.I don't know how they do it,but I know they do.

Here's one that may surprise you...

I stopped at Hong Kong on my way back from the PI last trip. When I arrived back in Canada, I still had the Hong Kong SIM in the phone. It is not set up for roaming. When I turned on the phone, the local carrier's name showed up. I cannot make calls, but I can send SMS to anywhere in Asia.

The local carrier has no way of charging these calls to my HK SIM, and I doubt that the HK carrier is able to charge me, since I am on a local network here in Canada.

I guess that I will find out for sure the next time that I go to Hong Kong whether or not the messages really were free, but I have sent a lot of them.

Dear Yella Man,

Just tried to text a few girlfriends here from the U.S. and it worked like a charm! Thats brilliant, who would have thunk! It seems that you can defeat many systems on YM including the invisible feature. This weekend I will try it out in Canada but I'm sure it will work there as well. Thanks for the tip, I really appreciate it!

Great post about the phones Juniour! My buddy is using my phone over there now. I'll have him visit one of my girls so she can put it in International Roaming mode before he returns to Korea. Nothing like keeping in touch with all the ladies while your away.

Another way to send text right to the girls phone is thru Yahoo Messenger. Just click on the Messenger tab, then Preferences, then Connections. Under Connections change the home country to Philippines. Click apply or save. Now if you add your girls cell number to her Yahoo ID info, leaving out the 63(country code) & the 0 at the beginning of her number, you'll be able to send her text right from messenger. I do it all the time and get replies back from the girls. I don't know if it works in other countries, but it works for me here in Korea.

I arrange for dates in the bars all the time. I've been to the Phils 3 times now. I only barfined 1 girl on my first trip. After that 1st time ,I got smart. I exchanged info with the girls and meet up later. I would feel guilty BUT I usually spend between 3 and 5 thosand pesos at the bar im have fun at. So the bar owners are getting my biz also.

I was really confused about the phones when I first got one. If I'm not mistaken the load is good for 60 days once you've activated it. But, the load cards themselves often have an expiration date nearly a year into the future. So, this last trip I bought a 100 peso card to take back with me. So, on the next visit, I can start lining up dates before I exit the airplane.

That may sound like overkill, but on one trip I had a late arrival and had trouble finding, first, a money changer, and then had to search out a convenience store to buy the load card.

Some hotels sell load cards. I know Holiday Plaza in Cebu does.

My problem is that the phone memory fill ups too quickly and then I have to start deleting messages. I suppose I should get a newer phone.

There is one girl who is half German and half Phillippino who is working in Camelot. When I went there last month I bought her a drink, Nice body, nice face definitely a 9 in my opinion. I wanted to barfine her. But she did not want long time because of her baby. I was looking for long time. She wanted to go to Disco and short time at the hotel. She told me a story that she has a German passport. I did not believe her because these girls can definitely spin a nice story which will put screenwriters to shame.

Sammon just wondering if the half German and Philipino gal's name was Margrita? I barfined a very tall beautiful girl at the Blue Nile a few months back who fitted your description and had smail boy. She was well worth the money!

It has happened to me on a few occasions, but less and less as a I get more trips under my belt and more contact numbers in my cell. Incidently, your SIM card remains valid even after five months of inactivity. You lose your load though. Just reload when you get in country and wham! You have instant access to your previous contacts.

Apology accepted. Anyway, I don't really arrange the dates in the clubs. I just give them my number and tell them to call/text me later if they're not busy. Some call/text, some don't. And if the girl does agree to swing by your room, you can't parade her around in public because, like one poster reported, the girl will get in trouble if seen with you. In any event, it's no big deal J Boy.

Nevertheless, I rarely do what you do. These girls get off work at 3 to 4 am. At that late hour I'd much rather be dozing off next to something sweet after a bit of sexercise. And what happends if she no-shows? On least one occasion I had a few too many beers and didn't hear the phone ring. Ooops.

Either you have superior powers of persuasion, or you line up two or three and then first come first serve...which sounds risky.

I agree with you 100% Yella Man. Surely the girls can choose how and with who they wish to spend their free time.

I've encountered the problem where it has been discovered I've met with a girl outside her working hours. Mamasan has then insisted that I must pay a bar-fine for meeting during this time. Personally I don't think this is fair.

Van I agree that if you pick up a girl outside the club you owe the club nothing. Depending upon what she agreed to when accepting her job she might owe the club but you don't.

My comment to yella man [which I just apologized for] was only about arranging the date while in the club and while she is working.
