On top of that the beach is disgusting, there is a lot of septic overflow going into the beach. There are also heavy currents / rip tides making it not very fun to swim, if you do get away from the shitrivers flowing in. I can however put you in touch with a guy who rents out condos, chica friendly, pool area. 24/7 security, yadda yadda. Hey guys. I've been on the site quite a bit over the last couple years, but never really posted.

I've been living here for several years now. For those of you who are visiting San Jose for the first time, here are some thoughts on the basics. You will find a LOT more than what I mention here, but these are the places that seem to make every list and that have been around the longest. I've used this as the "intro" for the 50 or so people who've come to visit / party over the years, and this list has never let me down.

GIRLS

These are what I consider the 5 "staples". For me, I like a place that you can have a drink, sit bax, relax a little, talk to someone if you want, or just walk in and grab a girl. I HATE running around trying to remember which "black door to ring a doorbell" and I equally dislike the rat hole smell of some of these ultra cheap places. That's just me though.

1. For sheer quantity. 10-75 girls will be at Del Ray, most of them between 8pm and midnight (especially Fri / Sat). Quality is 0-8 (and a very, very rare 9 or 10)

2. For intimate bar / chatting. Little Havana in my opinion ranks pretty high because it usually has 4-10 girs and a bar to have a drink and chat if you want. So it's social or action, whichever you want. Quality is 0-6.

3. For relaxation. New Fantasy. Quality is 0-5 (and an occasional 6/7/8). However they now serve drinks and they have a sauna if you want to relax before / after.

4. For sports. Sportsmans Lodge is a great place to eat, have a drink and grab action. Very few girls during the day.

5. For fun. Key Largo (across from Del Ray). When it's open at night, it's fun and the girls rotate between Key Largo and Del Ray.

All of these places are within a mile of each other, or $3 taxi.

HOTELS

1. For comfort / value / convenience. * The Costa Rican Condo. Extremely nice, affordable, in the middle of everything and probably the single best value. It's a 3 bedroom. 2 bath, ultra-modern condo with bar, TV, internet, PS3, telescope (etc.) and a 24x7 security guard and it's less than $90 a night with zero guest fees. Google "the costa rican condo". I've sent a LOT of people here and it's a winner. It's a 3-minute/$3 taxi ride from any of the places listed here (except for the night clubs in escazu).

2. For comfort / convenience. Comfort Inn. It's nice, but the guest fees will kill you. I put this here because the Del Ray and 2. 4 million taxis are 50 feet out the front door.

3. For ultra-convenience (girls). Del Rey. Try it for at least a night if you plan on doing more than 3-5 girls in a 24 hour period.

4. For comfort / business (and an OCCASIONAL girl). Holiday Inn. They are NOT guest-friendly. If you are drunk and lost, the holiday inn seems to always be everyones "landmark"

5. Little Havana has VERY NICE rooms. A bit pricey, but nice. You get a discount on girls staying there. (This is located about 100 meters from the costa rican condo).

NIGHT CLUBS

1. For semi-grungy / semi-safe night clubs with a lot of people. Get in the taxi and say "El Pueblo". Fri / Sat nights. I say "semi safe" because there have been a few isolated incidents that give the place a bad name. But let's be real, if you are wanting to go clubbing on the weekend, that's just the life you have to deal with anywhere in latin america. This isn't ultra-safe, but there are a few thousand people, so it's not like it's a war-zone either. DRESS NORMAL to SEMI-NICE.

2. Also, (same as #1)."La Calle Armargura" (I think that's the name. Either way, the taxi driver will know it). * You can hit this place around 3pm, pay $30 for a bottle of vodka and watch the college girls roll in and out until 1am. The best place to get drunk and watch an assload of people come and go. It get's BUSY in this area on weekend nights, but it also stays steady through the week because it's next to the university. DRESS NORMAL to SEMI-NICE.

3. For EXPENSIVE but extremely upscale strip club with the hottest girls."Tengo India." I think it's a rip-off, but it's the nicest strip club I've ever seen in my life, and I've seen a LOT in about 15 different countries. This place has a retrofitted airplane for their VIP area. 4 upscale jacuzzi rooms, and a mega showroom. It's worth a visit one time.

4. For the most upscale nightclub / lounge in San Jose downtown, go to Rhapsodia or Vertigo (both are on Paseo Colon). DRESS NICE.

5. For the most upscale place just outside the city, try a place in Escazu called Dolce or Club Gaira. A little snobby, but some people like this. You can find hot local girls, but you'll need to game them a bit. DRESS TO IMPRESS.

PRICES and GENERAL TIPS

1. GIRLS: $30 hourly at the cheapest parlors to $90 hourly for the hottest girls at the del rey. They will start at $100-$150, but just ignore that and multiply their looks by $10. (a 7 would be $70 for an hour).

2. TAXIS. ALWAYS tell the driver to use the meter. Literally GET OUT of the taxi if they refuse. They wil rip you off every time.

3. PHARMACY. They all sell viagra. For pain killers, vics and oxy's do not exist. You will be stuck with codeine, but you can get it in ample supply.

4. LIQUOR. Get a bottle of vodka, rum, and tequila along with sprites and red bulls for your room. The girls will ALWAYS perform better if you give them a few drinks.

5. BAR TABS. NEVER DO THIS after 5pm. Everyone pads your tab.

6. TIPPING. DO NOT feel obligated ever to tip. If it's great service (sex, restaurant, or whatever) , then pay your bill and hand them them tip in cash while looking at them to let them know they did a good job. Also, remember that many places include a tip already on your tab and if you tip on top of that, then you look like a newbie.

7. AIRPORT. It's roughly $20 to get from the airport to downtown.

8. TRANNIES. The girls on the corners at night are trannies. A good joke to play on your male frields would be to have him approach one. But just be cautious as trannies can sometimes be a bit psycho.

9. HOOKERS STEAL. That is a fact of life. No matter how much one professes her love for you, she will swipe your droid or iphone. Hide your stuff when the girls are around.

Just google "san jose map barrio amon" just click the first address and bingo all the clubs-Check out Alcasar it doesn't look like much from the outside but its real nice and had about 12 nice babes in there.its a strip club-Don't know the prices but they were all friendly. It gets going later in the nite-TAKE A CAB-don't walk there at night.
