Hey guys!
Does anybody know what happened to the Medellin Executive Hotel? I heard it has been sold and will be rebuilt but the website is down and due to me roaming in South East Asia for the last years I have completely lost track on the former owner J. G. Can anyone provide me with valid information on that please?
Thanks in advance!

Posts: 231Our new laureles 4 bedroom house
I am managing a new property a 4 bedroom house in Laureles that is across from Exito. This is the perfect spot for a bachelor party or, complete privacy because it's a house on the corner with bar as its neighbor, yet the bar closes at 10pm so it's not going to be loud for you to sleep at night. It's safe as well double entrance door, to protect you, plus camera on exito looks directly at the street. Other plus's are its a small walk to 33, there is plenty of bank atm's in exito, where you can get food and liquor. There is a cab stand across street and a bus that runs right to metro. Make up is 1 king. 1 queen. 1 double and 1 double futon, that is actually a comfortable futon to sleep on, not the cheap college kind I had in my apartment. Wifi, telemax cable, BBQ, a enclosed terrace, flat screens. Price for 4 guys staying is 140 / night price for 3 guys is 130 / night. 2 guys is 125, no break for 1 person other then 125, 1 person doesn't need a 4 bedroom.

Posts: 7Question for the MDE pros
20 plus trips to SJO and decided MDE was needed for a break this summer.
Who can tell me the chica friendly hotels in poblado. Are they all. Are none of them. Going to stay a few nights at CB but we like nice accomodations with room service etc.

Stayed in 2 hotels that I would recommend.
First was Poblado Plaza. This was a really nice hotel with a good (albeit 10-15 min walk from Parque Lleras) location on Carrera 43A opposite Hard Rock and next to CC Oviedo mall. It has v good rates at weekends (COP 110, 000 + I think 20, 000 in various taxes). It is meant to be 5 star but I would call it a good 4 star in Europe or USA. Anyway for that rate it is very good value at weekends but prices go up during the week so I moved. Not sure how chica friendly it would be as quite smart but no difference in price between single and double occupancy when I booked the room online so not sure how they could object. If you are visiting a girl that you already know then this would be a nice place to stay if checking in together.
Second was Torre Poblado which has been described here before. I would just endorse that whilst not on the same level as Poblado Plaza the rooms are good. I have a mini apartment with sitting room, kitchen and loo on one floor and spiral staircase leading to a bedroom, big bathroom and huge walk in wardrobe. Good safe (big enough for laptop) and best cable TV variety I have seen in last 10 weeks in South America). All for 110, 000 plus taxes again. This place is chica friendly and when you book online you get choice of single or double occupancy so either book for 2 people or if like me you are only occasionally intending to bring a girl back then save the see. 30, 000 a night and pay as and when needed.
Would recommend both places (friendly staff in both) and would stay again if back in town.
