I got a chuckle from this review I found about Energy. I think if more reviews like this are posted on hotel review sites they will have to make a choice on staying chica friendly or not.

Just a quick post on my recent trip the last couple weeks. Sorry, I am not posting to confirm a chica-friendly hotel in Laureles. I stayed at OBO hotel, and it was really nice, but I never brought chicas back to the hotel. I never even tried. I saw chicas at the casas or strip clubs all the time, so I never had the need to bring one back to the hotel. This location was great and the hotel was really nice. The neighborhood is actually called Florida Nueva, for what it's worth. It is on a side street right off La Setenta, and a short walk to the Estadio metro station. I really recommend this part of town to stay in, and I recommend this hotel. Although I can't confirm, it may be allowed to bring chicas. When I checked in the clerk said, "oh, you have booked for two people. " he asked if I had anyone else to check in. I told him maybe I would be bringing someone back with me later in the week. He said, no problem, we will just make a copy of her cedula. All of this was in spanish, by the way, because nobody speaks english there.

Posts: 63Chica Friendly Poblado hotel w / Jacuzzi Tub in Room
Hotel Maediro is near Parque Lleras and said they are chica friendly w / no charge.
Just need cedula, as always. I didn't ask if this is only Colombian cedula, but now I'm curious. (lotsa Venezuelans around.).
There are also Jacuzzi tubs in some of the rooms. Which can be fun.
I think it was about $60/ night.

The price of $206 per night is kinda steep in Medellin standard. But looks worth it if going for joint adventure with another like minded friend.

For me the local motels at a rate of 10-20 K were more convenient. Another problems is the area is unsafe after 9 pm, so if you are going to find a date to bring there you might not want to hoof it.
I stayed at the Nutibara for my first night and was happy with it. I took the more expensive King room on the top floor. The place is aged and the water never exceeded lukewarm for me. They let me check in ultra early, (before noon). I wandered the afternoon, but moved out to Poblado the next day. It was easy to take the metro to parque berrio a stones throw from the action, then spend the evenings in Poblado, very safe til even 4 AM with all the creature comforts not available in centro.
