    Hotel Energy

I got a chuckle from this review I found about Energy. I think if more reviews like this are posted on hotel review sites they will have to make a choice on staying chica friendly or not.

    Almost

Looks like a nice place. Has anybody stayed here that can confirm? I understand the mongers on here that don't like to give out info on the places they stay. One guy mentioned Estelar and that he did not want to ruin a good thing. I totally get it! So if you don't post about it I cannot hate on you. I do the same exact thing. Sometimes it's better not to share info because you will always have that one dude who will mess things up!

For another $25 it truly would be Bellagio style. These folks running the BnB's are taking advantage of us mongers LOL. The rooms at Energy with AC are going for the same price. Another guy mentioned the cheaper rooms at 50 end up being double that with thee cleaning fee. It kind of sucks. I found one in Lugo that allows chicks (confirmed). The security guard was cool and knew what was up. They just need ID.

Just need cedula, as always. I didn't ask if this is only Colombian cedula, but now I'm curious. (lotsa Venezuelans around.).

There are also Jacuzzi tubs in some of the rooms. Which can be fun.

I think it was about $60/ night.

I saw chicas at the casas or strip clubs all the time, so I never had the need to bring one back to the hotel. This location was great and the hotel was really nice. The neighborhood is actually called Florida Nueva, for what it's worth. It is on a side street right off La Setenta, and a short walk to the Estadio metro station. I really recommend this part of town to stay in, and I recommend this hotel. Although I can't confirm, it may be allowed to bring chicas. When I checked in the clerk said, "oh, you have booked for two people. " he asked if I had anyone else to check in. I told him maybe I would be bringing someone back with me later in the week. He said, no problem, we will just make a copy of her cedula. All of this was in spanish, by the way, because nobody speaks english there.
Not specific to this hotel but from my experience, the first one is never an issue. They just do like they said, after that is when the big chica fee shows up and its extortionate for local standards, rendering your only realistic option as a nearby love motel. That first chica you registered can come and go as many times as you want.

Anyone else have suggestions for hotels that are girl friendly in el Noblado?

I'm planning on splitting my time between el centro and el Poblado. Probably staying at Nutibarra for el centro to stay close to all the casas and SW but I'm having trouble finding an appropriate hotel in el Poblado for bringing several different FB girls. I've read through a ton of pages and nothing. Last time I stayed at el Poblado, they charged me 90 k for each guest smh. Any suggestions?

Also for SW in el centro, do you guys just walk the 3 blocks to Nutibarra / el Botero with the SW and sign them in? How does this work?

The price of $206 per night is kinda steep in Medellin standard. But looks worth it if going for joint adventure with another like minded friend.
It is a 2 bedroom suite, if two of you come it will be $100 each same as other places, you can also try the below.

If a guest visits before 6 pm they must be out in 30 minutes to avoid charges. It never said but I suspect this person will have to have ID. It also never said but you will void your tourist exemption to pay the national tax, currently 19%, probably on your entire stay.

For me the local motels at a rate of 10-20 K were more convenient. Another problems is the area is unsafe after 9 pm, so if you are going to find a date to bring there you might not want to hoof it.

I stayed at the Nutibara for my first night and was happy with it. I took the more expensive King room on the top floor. The place is aged and the water never exceeded lukewarm for me. They let me check in ultra early, (before noon). I wandered the afternoon, but moved out to Poblado the next day. It was easy to take the metro to parque berrio a stones throw from the action, then spend the evenings in Poblado, very safe til even 4 AM with all the creature comforts not available in centro.
Thanks for the tip! I actually already cancelled Nutibara figured I do what you wrote and get short time hotel if I'm in centro and run into action, currently looking on Airbnb and booking for Apatment in Poblado. Ill stay a M2 first couple night then apartment.

Looking forward to this first Sudamrica foray. It will be the end of November.

Thanks everyone for input on my question on having room Air condition in Pablado. We decided to go with ACee since this is our first time going and one of friends that is coming likes his room very cold. Best to make everyone happy.

    Regards.

I spent 3 months in an apartment in Laureles as well, no air conditioning, no fan. It was comfortable all day. Laureles does get a nice breeze almost every afternoon.

Temperature drops fairly quickly after sunset, which is about 6 pm year round. Daytime high is about 85f during the dry season and 78f during rainy season. Nighttime lows 60-64f.

You'll find air conditioning in higher end apartments.
