This is my favorite place to stay but starting next month they are only doing monthly rentals.

And to reply to the posts about Energy, its guest friendly and has nice views but they don't allow partying after 10 pm.

It would be best to call them and ask their Chica policy.

As you should do with most hotels.

I have an old List of a lot of hotels posted on the site.

You could search for it. It might help.

Friend stayed their a few weeks ago, no problem with girls, not sure in depth about how many a day and so on, but you should be fine!

Only complaint was rooms are very small (at least the one he stayed in) hopefully he reports back and tells us exactly his experience and full guest policy! Hope all is well WT69, your a legend! One of the main reasons I'm a skilled traveler & to this day from very valuable information you have provided! If you want PM me buddy and give me update on what your doing these days, would be great to here from you!

    Decent Hotel in Centro

Is there one? The places already covered here have cheapness and proximity to action as their only assets. None can be considered decent hotels, decent as in a basic Holiday Inn Express, for a frame of reference. While the Nutibara has improved somewhat from years' past, the rooms still get street noise, the gym and pool have been removed, and they still have no visitor policy.

    Avatara Laureles

Hi has anybody stayed here, its a few minutes from San P on 42 # 72-18. As far as I can gather from my research there is no reception as that is the type of apartment I am trying to find, without any gatekeepers. If anybody has stayed here I am just looking for confirmation that there are no gatekeepers.

    Thanks.

I have lived here in Medellin for about 4 years. I had a battle with my HOA and Building Administrator here during the first big quarantine and won. Think about it. No person that owns property in a building is going to be told their best friend, girlfriend, fiancée, family member can't visit. Why then would you think anyone would tolerate a "no visitors" rule. They try that shit with foreigners because they don't think you will challenge it. I found out that the no visitors rule was only being applied to foreigners. Pissed off, I sent the HOA a letter accusing them of discrimination against foreigners and a violation of my rights under the Colombian constitution. I told them I was going to get a lawyer and they reversed their policy. Then they tried to say "no prostitutes" to which I responded, how do you KNOW for sure who is a prostitute? Are you prejudging people based on how they dress? If they have tats? Young? I know prostitutes that defy all those norms. I argued this was discrimination and prejudice against their own people. They backed down from that as well.

Saying all that to say, don't let these MFs push you around!

After reading a lot about Blux and Factory Lofts and other Medellin apartments I think the new strict rules is more about limiting spreading covid19 then it is about sex tourism. I think that people staying in those apartments doesn't want a lot of people coming and going it will increase the risk of covid19. I bet the locals staying their are rich by Colombia standards. I know for a fact that in the past a couple of female telenovela stars had apartments in Blux. So they know its not safe if a guy brings girls to fuck them because we all know its not safe, you are not fucking the girls 6 feet away and with mouth mask on otherwise its no blowjob no kissing nothing. So I think the people who are staying there came with a plan to minimize covid19 in their building and they know limiting visitors means less people entering and leaving and also limiting visitors means less guys renting to bringing in girls, means less short term staying visitors. So I think those rules are temporally until covid19 gets under control in Colombia.

About Energy Building that is probably a monger place who gives a fuck the only drawback about that place is the rooms are kind of small I mean the 2 bedrooms apartments but the rest is ok but kind of expensive but it is the nicest apartment building in Medellin I have seen but I suspect it is also a covid19 hotspot.

I suspect that Blux and other apartments will relax the rules in the future a bit because they will not thrive with no business.

There are a couple small apartment rental outfits near Lleras one called Pablado Rentals and another called Victory Boutique both very guest friendly. And San Peter is a good option if you don't mind staying in Laureles rather than in Pablado.

And of course there's always Hotel M aka the mansion. Their sister building located a block uphill "the castillo" is quieter than the main mansion building. You can "bring your own" chicas if you like rather than pulling from their bar.
Thanks! Blux would check all the boxes, but yes, no longer a viable option. Energy Living is very pricey, maybe for a short stay I would do it, but I'm planning a few weeks trip and this is why I prefer to rent an apartment rather than a hotel room. Full kitchen, decent size, etc. Looks like Laureles is my best bet, I have seen a few apartments online but haven't inquired about guest policy, and no info is provided in the description.

So sick and tire of these "no sex tourism", "no guest", etc policies. Any options? Is Bogota any better in that regards?
