Medellin Hotels and Rental Apartments

I am planning one week trip to Medellin. Can someone please recommend few nicer guest friendly hotels?

The park itself is blocked off for construction. The bars and restaurants in the area are open. I went there a few times recently. Most of the people seem to have moved up the hill. The biggest crowds were in Provenza.

You might try Orange Suites, Haven Hotel or Hotel Du Parc.

I didn't notice as obvious of a police presence in Parque Lleras as in years past, but mostly I was just passing through on my way to Provenza. There usually are police around, but mostly they are unobtrusive.

Would anyone know if orange suites charges for guests, I was dumb and booked a room on booking.com and I can't cancel it.

Never mind guys, I am in Medellin and can confirm The Charlee Hotel is not guest friendly at all. They will charge you 300,000 pesos for a guest.

Yeah Charlee Hotel is fucking horrible. Overpriced. Loud. And they charge for guests. Best hotel in Medellin is Lettera Hotel in Provenza. No guest fees. Excellent staff. Decent breakfast. New and clean. Can't go wrong.

I saw on the goggle map that Park Lleras was "closed". Any idea what that means? Is there a police presence there like the clock tower in Cartagena?

I don't know anything about hotels near Parque Lleras because I stay in Laureles.

The park is closed because of construction. That doesn't have any impact on chicas in the area. Since Colombia opened after the Covid pandemic, it has been illegal for chicas to solicit in the park.

I've emailed this hotel and the one mentioned in the previous post. Neither hotel has emailed me back. I don't know if this is indicative of hotels in Medellin in general, but I've sent several with no replies.

I did some digging in this thread I got some conflicting info. So I'd like to clarify if Hotel Nutibara in Centro guest friendly or not. What is its policy? I wonder if anyone here could share any fresh intel. Thanks.

Yes, I believe you have to go down to reception and she certainly does have to register with her cedula.
And at times they have not allowed more than 1 at a time. But others may have a different experience. And it is not about extra $$. ..... I suspect the owners would not condone bribery.

As a frequent San Peter tenant over the last 4 years, I've never had to go down to reception to usher a girl into the elevator. Reception normally just calls my room to confirm that the lady is expected. Occasionally, if I've told reception that I'm expecting a guest in half an hour, they let her come up to my apartment without calling first. When your chica exits, sometimes, but rarely, reception calls to check that all's serene.

Important to keep in mind: the San Peter management is much stricter about acceptable chica IDs than most hotels. In particular, if you're expecting a Venezuela, it's best to confirm with reception in advance that her form of identification will pass muster. The management (and ladies in reception) are straight-shooters (in a good way), and, I agree that offering a bribe to circumvent the house rules would most likely backfire.

Before the covid craziness I was planning a trip and using a website that had a number of GF pads in Poblado.

I can't remember the url or find it on here now. The background colour was a sort of tan brown and it had everything from windowless bolt holes to rooftop studios.

Could be poblado rentals. Search pobladorentals dot com. Stayed in some of his units in the past, but not since pandemic. Have no idea if he is still operating. He has units of his own and others he manages for investors or owners. Not on airbnb in the past but may show on other types of sites.

Here is my ideal situation:
24 hour security.
Private balcony.
Private hot tub / jacuzzi.
King bed (because I'm a king).

Found 2! But neither chica friendly confirmed via whatsapp / email. By this I mean, terra biohotel will charge you an extra 100 k after the first guest (if it's a different person) and for hotel casa Victoria it's 60 k after your first registered guest.

Terra BioHotel and Hotel Casa Victoria. Both beautiful places, with amazing views, jacuzzi in the room, awesome balconies. If you are coming here and only planning on seeing one or two ladies, this might be the spot. But I have bigger plans.
