Less Expensive motels across the Market Warehouse Lot

Motel Ibiza is at the other end of the Mayorista market, so you should be able to find a decent inexpensive (up to 65.000 COP / Night) room around the corner from the Mayorista hooker street. Central Plaza, Monarca & El Caravan (double check my spelling) amongst a few smaller ones. Try booking.com, I think a few of them are on there. Then it's a long 20-30min walk across the massive Mayorista Central but it is pretty safe. The Motel Ibiza people might give you a strange look since you did not arrive in a car or motorbike but who cares. There is some eateries & supermarkets inside the Mayorista Central too.

I usually book my hotels on website such as Expedia but now is a good time to book hotels on Colombian websites since the prices are in pesos and pesos are dropping fast again US $.

Anyone know any Colombian Travel websites?

My apologies for not being clear.
El Poblado is the "upscale" part of town, lots of visitors stay in that area and lots of hotel choices. As for what is girl friendly, you should know that all hotels are girl friendly. Now, assuming that you want to bring a girl back to your hotel. She has to register at the front desk (unless you get by unnoticed) and there might be a charge, that's what most want to know (if there's a charge or not). You could really take a look at any hotel in El Poblado, and just make sure to book a room for 2. When you check-in, you might be asked if your second guest is with you. If she's not, just say something like she's running a little late and will be joining me in a bit. That's what I do anyways. As for which hotels charge and which don't, it's really hit or miss but from my experience most hotels will charge you if you have more than one girl come by. The Art Hotel seems to be more friendly and does not charge, the girl just has to register. I've stayed at Park 10 which is a nice hotel, but the guest must register and if it's a different guest than the one that registered first they will charge you. Hotel Diez de Categoria, hit or miss. I've gotten by with a couple, but that was because the front desk guy was on the phone and didn't say anything as we walked by to the elevator. The next night, another front desk guy was asking each couple their room number and verifying their names. So if you're discrete, you can get lucky. In the worst case you can just ask the chica if she knows of a short-time hotel, and take care of your business there.

Not trying to be rude or anything, but there are frequent posters that have helped share experiences, give recommendations to newbies, over and over again and if some of us can take the time to read through threads (and do searches) it saves a lot of time for the person wanting information, and also keeps the thread pretty fresh with new info (such as reviews of hotels and any new intel that can be useful). There are a couple vets that have gone above and beyond to create maps with locations / prices on just about everything a punter might be looking for. Sometimes it's just the same question being asked and the answer might be 10-15 posts below. Hope you understand.

OK, no problem. I'll scroll through 40 or so pages to get my answer rather than relying on a nice, polite poster to offer a few suggestions.

Sorry about offending your delicate sensibilities.

To be honest I feel like I overpaid and was given the bait & switch. There is one guy who does a lot of the bookings and is sort of priced high for Colombia but more in line with American pricing. Still $1250 for a studio apartment in poblado was just too much after.

    I looked around for myself.

    Just be careful.
I got a two bed room apartment in poblado, says five minutes from parque lleras for $465 with fees for like 8 dys.

Truly stated. I don't spend more than 50 us a night using airbnb and find quaility studios and some 2 bedrooms in the non Poblado areas of town which I prefer. This week my favorites are all booked due to Colombiamoda in town.
