Medellin Hotels and Rental Apartments

Heading to MDE mid-March with a wingman. The first time for us. Doing some research but there is an abundance of info and I'm looking for any intel to assist make some decisions. Have not secured a place to stay as of yet. Can't decide on if we should do a night or 2 at Mansion and then head to an apartment in a nice area because the prices seem reasonable and I want to fit in. Unsure of what's considered a nice, safe area though. El Poblado? Any trustworthy apartments and hotels that cater to the hobby? Would like to stay close to the bar, clubs, restaurants and nightlife for easy access and the possible for some take home after hours. I've read that Parque Lleras is the place. Also, ATMs, banks, places for good exchange rates.

I went for the first time a couple weeks ago. I stayed in El Poblato. I felt really safe walking around by myself. It's like a zone 6 which is like one of the most prestigious areas in Medellin. Or something like that LOL.

Just wanted to thank Jake and the rest of the people that was staying there for showing me a good time while in Medellin for the first time. Especially Hurricane Joe. I had a great time.

He was trying to make me transfer funds to his account directly from mine. On this day and age. Someone renting apts abroad does not have paypal, airbnb or another such service??

He was posting some other guys apt photos that are in airbnb. Penthouse in centro area across from the teater.

I told him I would pass and meet him at his apt so I could check it out for future rentals and he never contacted me again.

No doubt Central Plaza is the best hotel in the area. It is a hotel for married couples and families. You may not look awefuly sensible with a prostitute in the hotel.

Yes. However it appears that as long as the girl has documents it is probably fine to bring a chica. Its been a hit and miss so far.

Hotel Central Plaza is a great option for those seeking Mayorsita -- Five minute walk. Chicas are willing to go to your hotel which is the best option.

Secure and clean. Small rooms with air conditioning and a good cable selection. Around 27 usd per night. Allows day to day payment which is a nice option in case you have a change of plans.

BTW the hotel features a panoramic hotel bar, jacuzzi and workout equipment. The cable lineup also has one good porno channel and a decent stereo. Bringing chicas depends who is working the front desk.

I stayed with Jake. He's a great option to hit the ground running. I'd recommend. You will meet a sweet chica quickly and tour the El Centro casa scene the next day.

Anyone has stayed in these apartments in the Buenos Aires barrio? I stayed in the apartments advertised last year in the barrio Laureles and had a great experience. Any information about barrio Buenos Aires is appreciated such as safety, class status, restaurants, etc.
