Visited an ATF yesterday. When the waiter brought her first drink, I tipped him one dollar. He then proceeded to hover over us, and as soon as my amiga took her last sip, he pounced. I scowled at him, glanced at my watch, and told him "mas tarde" ("later".

I gave it a few minutes and then ordered the next drink from the same waiter, but this time I only tipped him ten pesos.

He took the hint. After delivering the drink, he backed off, and waited until I waved him over for the third drink, for which I tipped him the usual dollar.

After that, I left.

The waiter in question is a tall, young guy, number 93. His willingness to learn should be rewarded.

She will charm you with her good looks, carry on somewhat of an intelligent discussion, manipulate you into draining your wallet due to the copious number of beers she will drink and if you get lucky and decide to have a relationship with her she will try to kill you. Now in my book that is total entertainment and worth every penny. JK.

And on a final note, she won't even ask you for a propina.

How's the action between 6 PM - 10 PM? I won't get in town until 5 PM and have an overnight booked at 10 PM but still wanted to check our the clubs.

Those are some of the best hours to go. Stick to HK and Chicago though, you're going to waste your time at Tropical.

Well of the 3 bars I visited this was the worst for talent and crowds, ugly girls and not many customers. The good thing is that they have great air conditioning and it's a good place to cool off. I hadn't been since the new year and it looks like they have new shiny seats. I liked the look but they need better girls.

Tropical hit its prime years during the covid shut down, the hotel on lower level was better than the current club, then they moved it upstairs another level or two and it was great. Different rooms tons seating tons men and woman. Basically it was the best speakeasy of the speakeasys. I miss all the speakeasys even Gloria bar was this cramped room where everyone was kinda hanging out together like in a college dorm.

Totally agree. Almost impossible to develop a normal relationship with a working girl in Tijuana unless you're willing to make a TON of sacrifices. I've tried and learned the hard way. I developed a strong and very close relationship with a working HK girl. But deep down I knew I could never do anything long term and that at some point we would have a nasty break up be / see I wasn't willing to cement it into a formal public relationship like a marriage or something be / see I saw a lot of potential problems of marrying a Tijuana hooker (many ramifications socially, professionally, etc). I also began to feel quite uncomfortable being in public with her out of fear that I'd bump into people I knew or knowing that all the mexican people around us in normal locations knew that it was odd to see an ugly bloke like me with a super hot woman that was clearly out of my league to the point that I wouldn't be surpirsed if people thought I was carrying around an escort. The biggest setback to maintaining anything longterm with a working girl is the cost; I was hemorrhaging so much money be / see she expected financial support for her kids, family and all her monthly expenses. That was not sustainable to me. It was a financial hemorrhage that was a very stupid thing to do in retrospect. .

It all boils down to money. At HK they make a lot of money fast. And they get used to that level of living. But they spend it fast. And if you opt to support her that pressure falls on you. The allure of beautiful women is strong my dudes, and it has a high price. But historically beautiful women have been expensive!

I understand your frustration with new rules but as things get back to normal I don't blame them for trying to enforce new rules and make money. As a business they give large discounts on the hotel rooms Mon and Tues to hopefully bring in guys on what is normally the slowest days. So they figure if you have a room you will more than likely be down in the bar drinking and buying girls drinks and other things with the girls that make it advantageous for girls to work on what are slow days.

So if you get a cheap room and do none of those things and on top of it you bring a working girl to see you on her day off it does them or the girls working no good. I could understand how the girls that are working would get mad and complain to management that they are working but the customers are bringing in competition and they are losing out on clients. Even though you wouldn't spend time with these girls anyways they don't see it that way.

I personally hate staying in the Zona and I understand the cheap room but you can find other places just as cheap in Tijuana if this becomes more of an issue in the future.

Pretty much every time we stay at Rizo overnight we spend some time in Tropical tipping girls and ordering drinks. Only reason we didn't do it this time was because my girl didn't want to bump into that new security guy again hoping to stay out of sight / out of mind. Nobody had ever given us shit about her staying with me. I even thought she was trying to prank me at first. Hopefully it's a one time thing.

I could see it if the fine were reasonable, say $100 for the night, but $300 is punitive.

Yeah I've read that here from others as well. Especially when it's a girl trying to see a guy at her place of business on her day off.

I've never understood why stay in the Zona if the girl isn't working. In my younger days it was so much better to just pay a $20 bar fine and take the girl to regular bars in Tijuana or to Rosarito.

All this hotels associated with HK are a part of HK. There's so many rules now its important to view that hotel, if paying for a night, as you don't have any rights to that hotel like you do normally with a hotel. The hotel is like staying at a friend's house. There's gona be a lot rules and people watching you. I stopped going to HK hotel because just walking in my backpack had to be gone through and I don't like my clothes touched pillow cover touched etc. And the claustrophobia of no window. When I wake up in my revolucion hotels I feel happy refreshed, I walk outside to the Cafe. If I'm not racing back to San Diego which I usually am. When I woke up in Zona Norte I felt like I was waking up in a bad dream very depressing.

She said she was going to do TLN and he said just a heads up then, in about an hour someone will knock at the door and your client will have to buy a bucket of beer and he will have to keep doing so every hour that you're there. She said she got pissed and asked why if she has never had to do that before if it's her day off and that besides she was there to stay with her BF, not a client. He basically told her tough shit and to expect the knock. She said she flipped him off and told him vete a la verga and zoomed right by him LOL. Luckily we never ended up getting the knock otherwise I would have had to tell him off as well. She said there was another security guy within earshot who she's pretty familiar with so maybe he let the new guy know not to worry about it, but who knows. I hope the employees at Rizo don't start being strict, scamming assholes like the guys at Cascadas.

Yep. Agree with the poster. So much more realistic to have a nonputa girlfriend. Granted it's almost 100% certain they won't be as hot as the HK girl, they at least will be someone you can comfortably have a long term relationship with. My HK girl was a really good person, incredibly hot, and honest with me and I would've loved to permanently get her out of the club and away from that lifestyle but, the incredible amount of sacrifices I'd have to make and the potential risk to jeopardizing my own other social / professional relationships by being with a HK puta publicaly was not something I could realistically do. Treated her well while we were together for a year, but like someone said in a post earlier, my heart always knew it was a sinking ship that would eventually go under.

Can't save everyone unless you're an incredibly wealthy CEO who has nothing to lose and endless resources to give.

I'm a similar situation with this girl works at El Patio Bar. We hit it off right away. I even showed up to Tijuana two weeks later to take her on a date. She spend the entire night with me partying without charging me extra. Since then we've been texting each other but lately she's been pulling back. If I lived closer to Tijuana I might be able to make it work. But that ain't going to happen. Oh well lesson learned. Next time I won't break the monger rule Pump & Dump.
