I have a similar question. Do Chicas get paid for their time sitting around in bar or are they only paid for fichas and sex.

Lot of Chicas are just sitting around most of the time.

I don't think the girls are paid at HK or AB. A girl at CC boasted to me that she was paid by the bar and got commission for her fichas.

Ended up in Tropical Friday night after doing the usual rounds of HK and Adelitas. I have the HK VIP, so always go there first for the free beer. However have done several girls in HK over years and I know that thurs, Fri. And sat nights are not the best to get good session though selection is great. Anyway, saw this young girl sitting on one of the chairs near entrance at Tropical. Asked her to join me for cerveza. 18 yo from Acapulco. After a couple of fichas, asked for the room. Agreed on $ for 1 hour. Good session, tried hard to please. Downside was, light kissing, no DFK. But overall good session. Name was Kim.

Won't repeat, there are better ones out there if you know where to look.

You're approaching this in a very American way.

The price is whatever the max you're willing to pay for that girl. If she doesn't like your max price. Oh well. [Deleted by Admin] You need an abundance mentality when dealing with these girls. There are hundreds of other girls who are open to sex for cash. One of them will take your offer. Guaranteed.

If you just "have to" have one girl in particular, she will sense your weakness and desperation and you will pay the gringo price. Guaranteed!

Americans hate negotiating. We expect to pay the list price unless its a huge purchase, like a car or a house where negotiation is expected even though Americans still hate to do it!

In third world countries, negotiation is a part of the culture and is expected in the service industry.

The taxis don't have meters and the chicas don't have their price written on their forehead because it is subject to negotiation.

I will say that most tropical girls will start at $80 but will accept much less if you aren't a typical gringo who is scared to negotiate. Same with HK girls who will typically quote $100 on a weekend. They start high expecting to negotiate down.

If you get off on getting a deal just look for a girl who has been standing around for a while. When business is slow only stuck up girls won't budge on price. These are typically starfish who aren't fun anyway.

Wound up in Tropical Saturday night. Most of my Tijuana trips are during the day and I normally stop in here. It's usually pretty mellow but I like it because there is less pressure here from chicas / maseros than some of the other bars. I like to make my own choices for girls! There were lots of hotties on Saturday night. One tall blonde girl who looked like a white girl was the hottest woman I had seen in La Zona in quite awhile. Unfortunately I was recovering from a session and I went back later to try and find her and she was gone. I saw a couple guys approach her she seemed stuck up but I still wanted to bend her over anyways. Was very impressed by the talent at Tropical on a Saturday night.

Yea Saturday in Tropical was a great night. As stated in the previous posts while you won't find HK type girls but not a lot of pressure and cheap beer.

So myself and an amigo were looking for a place to watch the fight we settled in to a booth and had some beers. And then the girls sitting across the aisle started a bit of flirting (yea I know pretty normal for a zona bar) . As soon as her friend left the one girl starts waving for me to come join her. But I don't budge. Obviously she is a working girl wanting to seperate my from my money. And then what was truly a great moment. She shows me her pink wristband, as her way of saying HEY I don't even work here you don't have to worry about buying me those little $7 beers. And so I joined her.

And had a great night drinking and dancing and watching the fight.

And my amigo Rog 123 was supposed to be meeting us there and now I understand how he missed us, he was laser focused on the tall blonde.

My Experience at Tropical has been good as well. I have met most my GFE's there and the waiters have always been cool with me.

Only one bartender in BT that would allow me to buy just one beer, other bartenders insisted on two beers. Just like CS said, their 2 for 1 is NOT 2 beers for the price of 1. I don't mind buying 2 beers if I'm with a friend, but if I'm by myself it's too much because I like to bounce around between clubs if I don't see any chicas I like in 15 minutes top, and get another beer at another club.

This description matches that of a night-time bartender at Trop who scammed me in mid-May. I got to the bar and ordered a DosXX. He said it was 70 pesos which struck me as odd but I didn't know why. It had been a couple months since I'the been in Trop, and had only ordered a single round of DosXX then. Anyhow, I paid the 70 p and gave a 20 p tip for a total pf 90 p.

Later on I asked a masero how much the DosXX were. He replied 60 p, and I asked if the price was higher I ordered AR the bar. He said no it was the same. So basically, the bartender scammed me for 10 p. Not a big deal in terms of money, but certainly a disrespectful act.

You write that you ordered "a DosXX" which I assume is a single beer. That should have cost you $30 mx or $1.75 dlr and NOT $60 mx nor $70 mx. You were actually scammed for $40 mx not $10 mx, unless you received two beers. One thing to note is that TB for a long time used the 2-4-1 scam in order to get you to buy 2 beers instead of one. Instead of just selling you a single beer for $30 mx, they would say they are 2-4-1 and try to get you to buy double the beer for double the price. There is actually a drink menu posted on the wall, just to the right of the bar with all the prices posted and the price for a single beer is listed as $30 mx or $1.75 dls. Playboy pulls the same scam. The only place in the zona with true 2-4-1 is Chicago on weeknights but only your first beer is 2-4-1.
