I kinda miss Chato I remember way back when he was a mesero. I always found it entertaining watching him deal with all the issues involved in managing a ho bar. But on the other hand I'm easily amused.
My last couple if visits to TB I hadn't seen Chato but didn't think much of it. Now it makes me wonder because on my last visit a worker I know was working in TB. I didn't ask him why just figured he was covering for someone but maybe this is the reason.

Made quick visits to Tropical the last couple nights. Saw a few HK girls on duty. Spoke to one of them I know through a mutual friend and she said in her case she got punished for missing an entire week of work at HK (She had already received a warning) and was told she has to spend the rest of the month at Tropical.

Well went to TB Turkey night and unfortunately I didn't see anything to sit with. Only girl worth looking at was sitting with a guy, I even went back later and still drinking. So maybe they were all hiding from me.

If for whatever reason they give you shit for bringing an HK girl into Tropical then just take her to Chicago LOL.
Never stayed at Tropical but I've several times brought Adelitas and Tropical girls to HK Cascadas when they were off shift with no issues. The girls were always able to walk up to my room alone with no problem, I think all they had to do was show their ID at the door and say which room they were going to.

But the main Tropical girl that was coming to my room when she was off shift now works at HK. So I'm not sure if she'll be allowed to come up to my room there when she's off shift. Will be in Tijuana in a few weeks so guess I'll find out then.

Sucks how they change the rules hourly.
That's 1 of the reasons I stopped staying at hks hotels. Too many problems if I want to bring a civie or off duty girl over. I actually don't have anymore friend / swx worker girls who want to see me but when I did it was a problem. Even civil girl was a problem to hk hotel. That's why afelitas hotel is a big loss. I felt like a human being when I rented that room. Like I was a adult and could do whatever the fuck I wanted and it was my business.

    Thanks brother

Great advice from both of you. One more thing I would like to add, as far as walking in from the border. From now until the upcoming holidays I would avoid even a daytime walk. Its no secret the corrupt Tijuana policia really step up there thieving ways during this time period. I just read about a fellow monger getting robbed of close to $900.

So for a little added advice if you step off the beaten path even if its a short walk to Chicago club or DG try to scope the area for lurking policia and make a quick dash. Also might be the right time of year to taxi or uber from the zona to revolucion and not worry about spending an extra few bucks.

If anyone has any questions, message me or ask. Ill answer. I am new here, not sure what I should write.

IMO, obvio its never advised to go across the border without your passport. BUT as someone who lives extremely close, goes to Trop 2-3 times a week, has a main mesero named (message me if you want my mesero whose dope), and knows everyone including hefe and gang, you will have 0 issues crossing and taking a cab direct to Trop. Never had an issue with me or anyone of my SD friends who frequently visits.

Additional processing times to get back into the states? OK sure. All my friends are white. They all had active passports. So they got to the front of the line, they got sent to the back office. The agent asked "Why would you do this" "If your friend told you to jump off a bridge, would you? After 10 minutes, they were out. And I've never seen $30. If you paid $30, you got got! LOL.

Ahh yes the shuttle. So yes, taxi prices have increased. You can take the shuttle. The shuttle is located next to the LONG ass line area near the taco stands. Its a little hard to describe where. And if you think that $1 is a good tip for the driver, ID say that's pretty cheap. I take that all the time. I give a minimum, $5. Yeah that's more than most of my friends pay, but then again, you just saved $5 vs a cab. And the Hong Kong shuttles are safe and direct.

LOL walk to zona? Bro never. I would never recommend anyone walk to zona. If you're at the old crossing area, fuck that. Take the shuttle or cab. This is where I am firm, walking there I wouldn't ever advise for my bro or anyone.

I'm not so sure about the prices exactly. My mesero gets a girl drink, he gets $12. MY MESERO still charges me $3 for a tecate lite and I give him $2 more for a water. Tequila shot 1970 don julio is like $5 or so. I'm not exactly sure on the price, I can check when I go back or message him on WhatsApp. But my mesero never has ripped me off and I trust him. I tip him $5 when I get in. Then its $1-2 per request.

The VIP lap dance is good sometimes. Its a different environment vibe to fuck and have fun. You can walk your ass all the way up or chill in the VIP room with some good ac. LOL its just a personal preference. To each their own. I personally prefer 45 min rooms since that's the best bang for your buck. But I only do it with girls I know or have good connections with since you have more time to have fun.

I would agree on your pricing. no one, and I urge you all, should not be paying more than $80 for half hour. If you really get a bad ass, then its your money and who am I to tell you not to. But seriously, some of you are fucking up the pricing for the non regular customers. $80-100 max for 30. $120-$140 max for 45 minutes.

For me. 30 minutes I usually get 60-80.45 minutes is usually $100-$120 max. VIP rooms, most of the time $20 more because they get like $7 from each of the 5 drinks.

So no disrespect to your perspective. This is just mine. And I personally love Trop. Please don't fuck it up people!
Very much appreciate the extra info. I think "newbie level" was the wrong choice of words and wasn't really what I was trying to convey so I apologize for that. Maybe it's bit better stated as I think there are perhaps better options for some of the advice you gave but then again you're 100% correct, we all have our own perspectives and preferences. I've said multiple times on these boards myself "to each his own".

There's a shortcut to the HK shuttle area, not too far of a walk after you exit the Mexican customs room. You're right, it's hard to describe but there's a fence area on the right-hand side along the pathway way before you get to the turnstiles to enter Mexico. A lot of times the HK shuttle will be waiting there right behind that fence. If it's not there, you can open the fence gate and take the shortcut there through the parking lot to the main spot where the HK shuttle usually leaves from.

As far as tips I usually tip the shuttle driver $2 or $3 and have never gotten complaints about that.

DURING THE DAY, I think it's pefectly fine to walk to the Zona if you know the way and are up for it, but that's just my own opinion. Would never advise making that walk at night (though I've stupidly done this in the past).

That's cool about the mesero, though I personally just try to avoid them all LOL. I'm more of a walk up to the bar and order the drink myself kind of guy, though I guess you can't avoid meseros if you have a chica sitting with you. Always a $1 tip / drink for me, nothing more nothing less.

I've only been charged by customs to cross the border twice. Both times were during the peak of COVID (when the border was technically "closed" for non-essential travelers) and because I was trying to cross with an expired passport. They were charging $30 (or even more in some cases) quite a bit back during COVID and did charge me $30 one of the times. What was interesting is both times when I crossed back to the US, the US customs agent scanned my expired passport and just waived me through with no issue without saying anything. So maybe on the US end they don't care if your passport is (recently) expired I don't know.

    Have a good one.

IMO, never advisable to go to Tijuana without your passport unless you don't actually have a passport (or it's expired). It also potentially complicates things on your return to the US (additional processing time at US customs and they might send you to secondary review). But you're right it's usually either a $20 (or even as high as $30) bribe to the Mexican customs official and you're in. But travelers should still be aware it's technically against Mexican federal law to be in Mexico without a valid passport. You're essentially an illegal immigrant during your time there (though they rarely if ever check for anything like that in Tijuana. It's more of an issue outside of typical tourist areas like Tijuana).

It's been a couple years or so since I've taken a taxi to / from the border and paying $7-10 is too much IMO. Personally, I take the free HK shuttle if it's available (you only have to tip a couple of bucks) or I take the taxi de ruta (shared taxi van) to Revolucion which only costs 15 or so pesos ($1). From Revoluction it's only a 5-7 minute walk to HK or Tropical..

So, having the PP is good for there, being there, and back, especially if you are there for a couple days. Just find a way to keep it away from pick pockets. And I don't take it when I do to HK for Chicago. Etc.
Yeah revolution street in the mornings is actually flat out dangerous. Like you being bothered by the policia, and I had 3 losers checking me out as I walked and I could see the fear in the faces of all the small store owners. They must been some gang guys looking for trouble. But they didn't stop or say anything to me but I realized what could of happened. The policia will grab the occasional gringo walking alone on revolucion or the walk between hk and revolucion. I pretty much tell them I love here and know every business and all the people in them since I go put to eat 3 x a day. And have stayed in every hotel in the area. If you don't have a passport tell them you lost it 2 hours ago and need them to help you find it. I never walk with my passport once I check into the hotel. Once on revolution they wanted it but since I did t have it they just let me go. If walking on revolution walk on the casino side, Ceasars side of the Road to have less policia problems. I would like the hot policia girls on revolution to talk to me and question me they look better than HK woman.

I was having some issues with my last post, so I think its time I made another.

Been going to Trop for years. Its my main spot as opposed to HK or Chicago due to its best bang for your buck. I'm going to give a full rundown of trop.

Transport options to the border: You can take an uber, take the trolley, or drive. If you are ubering, get it to the san ysidro jack in the box. If you are trolley, just go all the way to the last stop. If you are driving, there is 2 parking lots near the border. I usually park there. Prices are anywhere from $10 weekday to $20 weekend for 8 hours.

Now follow the signs for border. Walk through the entire passage way. When you clear the signs that says "Mexico" and cross the fence, you now wait in the line to the right and cross through. IF you don't have your passport, pay the border clerk $20 fee and you get a "day" pass. Walk through the border check. Now go all the way down. When you pass the taco stands, turn right there are orange cabs. Pay $7-$10 max and say trop.

Get to Trop, hefe will pat you down and you are in!

Now Trop recently got a full remodel on the inside. My favorite time to go is morning / afternoon. Weekdays are the best bang for your buck. But anyways, Trop is like Hong Kong, minus the quantity of 8-10's. Trop has a lot of pretty girls who are wanting to have fun. But just not as hot haha. In trop, you can really use this to your advantage.

    So full breakdown.

Drinks are about $3 for a beer. Shots are about $5 for a don julio. Lady drinks are about $12 with tip if I recall correctly. You can take your ladies for a VIP lap dance which gives her 5 drink tix, for 30 minutes in the VIP room. In here you can negotiate extras if you like. Sometimes, I can get away with free service and a little tip for that fun. Some ladies will require payment, anywhere from $20 to $60, which would be a discount rate if you can negotiate. Otherwise some will stay with their $80-$100 rate.

Now if you want to have your own space. I recommend the Tropical rooms upstairs. You can rent a room for 45 minutes for $40. You can that way use it to your advantage for extra "Fun". My take is always negotiate everything before going upstairs. I usually buy the girl a drink and feel out the vibe. If its fun, I will go. I try to stay NO MORE than $100 for 45 minutes double fun. If its in the day. Night maybe $20 more. Make sure you have $1's to tip people along the way.

Now when you're all done. You can head back to the border or go back and relax with a drink.

I will be making a guide on HK Tijuana, MDE and Cartagena CO, Costa Rica soon.
