The best place to be is the third floor with the stage. The second floor seems like a sad bar with no chicas dancing. Very rarely see any stunners in Tropical, but most have been GND types that surprise you every once and a while in the room.

The 3rd kind of bores me because the setup is too much like HK but with heavier chicas.

These last couple times I have stayed at Rizo de oro I have noticed the $30 for 30 minute rooms are back but they still have the $40 for 40 minute option as well. It's been 2-3 weeks since I have stayed at Cascadas so can't speak on what they're doing over there. Hopefully they brought back the 30 for 30 rooms as well. It's still too high for just a damn standard session but better to pay 30 than 40 since those are our only options with the HK chicas. Next time one of you guys take a HK chick arriba at Cascadas keep an eye out.

The 2nd floor is where the Mex bros usually hang out. The meseros are less aggressive unless they find a fool that likes to make it rain, then they line up to take his money one way or another. You just have to learn to appreciate the continuous Banda and Regaton. But the 2nd still has the feel of old Tropical where you can get up and dance with your chica. It is less of the fuck factory setup for newbies. But it is only worth visiting in the evenings and usually on the weekends.

Was killing time in the zona yesterday and had forgotten about the 2nd floor at Tropical. I was hanging out for a while on the main floor and noticed a couple cute chicks head upstairs. For whatever reason I thought maybe it wasn't open since business was slow but I went up and there were several girls hanging out in the balcony and a group of buddies at a big booth watching the big screen tv's which were showing baseball, soccer and wrestling at the time. It's way nicer up there than on the main floor and a good place to chill and kill time. The waiters were cool and not being pushy either. Eventually a light skinned spinner in pigtails started dancing on the main stage. She was better looking than most girls you see at Hong Kong. I gave her a couple bucks and she seemed really friendly. Thought about inviting her for a drink after she was done but as soon as she got off stage some older guy that seemed like some type of manager handed her a beer and she was drinking it near him at the bar. Figured even if I did call her over for a drink it wouldn't feel too comfortable with him keeping tabs on her. It seemed like he had a crush on her or something. Decided to go back downstairs and catch her whenever she made it back down. After about 10 minutes she came downstairs but then headed straight towards the back near the left side of the main entrance. Never saw her come back out so I ended up taking off. I will definitely buy her a drink next time I see her though.

Did your friend say how long these girls are getting punished and not allowed to work in HK for? Personally I'd prefer to hang out in TB over HK but they always have a poor selection of girls when I go late at night.

The other thing I thought when you mentioned this was that girl that was being aggressive with another poster on here and he was suspicious of her being so aggressive after only one visit. She could of known that she was getting thrown out of HK for some time and trying to get some clients to see her on the side since she would be getting less business at TB.

I think it all depends as far as punishments go. Some are being forced to stay on the Chavelas side for two hours lately instead of one. Some are being sent to Tropical. Some are being threatened to be moved to other bars that they own outside of the zona. Some are being told they will be dropped altogether. A lot of girls are stressed out right now. If you guys regularly talk to some of these girls I'm sure they will confirm all of this.

I hope they add Sade to that list. I saw that skank last night with some old dinosaur dick. She is a huge asshole. They probably will keep her as I am sure she is blowing the boss.

Yes, the waiters job is to sell drinks but common sense and commons courtesy should tell them nobody wants them hovering or stalking while the girl sips her drink. Some waiters are cool about it. Others are like vultures just sitting and waiting. I spend a lot of money at these clubs and I'm perfectly fine buying and drinks and tipping. I have no patients for a stalking waiter. I don't think I or anyone should have to bring it to their attention not to hover.

Unfortunately we are talking about the zona Norte and the bars don't do any real type of training. Very few waiters I've had over the years really know how to be professional and do the little things to keep you happy like making sure your drink is kept cold by asking if you want more ice when it melts or I remember when Tropical didn't carry a drink that I liked he went to HK and brought a bottle so I could have what I wanted. I've always given the same advice to find a waiter in the bar and deal with him or her only. If you don't like something just mention it to them, when they use to bring the chips back in the day myself and friends wouldn't have that happen because they knew it would upset us.

The problem with the way the poster claimed to train the waiter was wrong in my opinion. First of all he had already scolded and told the waiter "más tarde". So after that he gave 10 pesos, so when the waiter didn't take the drink right away like before and he gave him a dollar again he assumed the waiter was being trained by the tip difference, which was very minimal, instead of realizing that the waiter got the hint by how he was yelled at. If it was me I would of told the waiter if he wants to continue getting my business to back off especially if he felt him being like a vulture.

My goodness some of you guys make things so much more difficult than it has to be. You know he is just doing his job which priority number one is to sell fichas. If you don't like him staying close by and taking the drink right away you could just try talking to him and tell him that or you will get another waiter. You seem to have some basic Spanish skills so it shouldn't be that hard.

I also don't think you tipping $1 compared to 10 pesos really makes much of a difference to him. But maybe you can have him sing and dance for you so you can tip him $1. 25. They are just people trying to make a living and don't need to be treated like pets. Unless it just makes you feel important to put people down when it was you that didn't communicate with him that you prefer him to back off some and not be so fast to take drinks away.

Visited an ATF yesterday. When the waiter brought her first drink, I tipped him one dollar. He then proceeded to hover over us, and as soon as my amiga took her last sip, he pounced. I scowled at him, glanced at my watch, and told him "mas tarde" ("later".

I gave it a few minutes and then ordered the next drink from the same waiter, but this time I only tipped him ten pesos.

He took the hint. After delivering the drink, he backed off, and waited until I waved him over for the third drink, for which I tipped him the usual dollar.

After that, I left.

The waiter in question is a tall, young guy, number 93. His willingness to learn should be rewarded.
