Whatever, this is 2014 and no one in Saigon is going to have any problems with bringing a girl back to your room. This shouldn't even be an issue.
I stayed in in three star hotel in Ben thanh and did not have issue in bringing girls.

I called them prior booking and confirmed it's OK to bring a Vietnamese.

A xe om guy told me most hotels in Ben thanh allow to bring Vietnamese.

However it's best to call them before you book.

My 3 star hotel in HCMC was charging 300.000 VND for a female Vietnamese visitor. 'Hotel policy' said the receptionist. Or maybe it was his 'policy'.

    Foreigners & Viet Girls

I got to know a lady (she was 40 yo, conservatively dressed, so not a young hooker) in 2007 to 2009 via Adultfriendfinder. I visited HCMC 3 times to meet up with her. I always stayed at the A&them Hotel in D1. She would come to the hotel every night after work and stayed until morning to go back to work. I had booked a double room. She even had breakfast in the hotel. We had no problem with the hotel staff.

In 2009, we decided to rent a car and driver to go to Vung Tau, the beach resort. When we checked into the hotel, we were not allowed to stay in one room because we were not married. Nothing I could do to change their mind. So I had to get a second room in her name and let the driver stay in that room (probably he would have slept in the car). Everyone knew the arrangement and was happy with it (except me who had to pay for the second room).

What I am trying to point out is there is a law in Vietnam banning foreigners and Vietnamese who are not married from staying in the same hotel room. So stop thinking like a foreigner. It's their law. They have to follow it.

I'm not the expert on this but your attitude and the hotel layout etc play a part.

I was in one hotel and I stupidly somehow let them know I was taking a girl back and they took her ID (11 pm) and called me when she left to see if I was ok. I was horrifie that they cute receptionist knew what I was doing. Only 30 min after I arrived at the hotel. So was so cute too. I'm sure she would have loved me otherwise.

But a few days later when I befriended a local girl who scootered me around all over the place we got into the room without a second glance. I told her that the hotel would want her I'd and she just scoffed and walked straight in with a wave. Cool as a cucumber with me, the nervous old dude, behind her.

The hotel also had a back door which meant you could get to the lift without going past reception. Helpful for the next trip.

But then 3 months ago some old hag made me pay for a second room for a girl. $12 down the drain. Check out the hotel's reception layout online. This walk of shame thing is a bit annoying in small hotels.

    Thanks Ozzie.

    Strike off last two.

Sophia looks good as per latest review on tripadvisor.

One guy seem to complain about hotel staff bugging him about sending female to room.

Don't have much time to explore all that HCMC has to offer so will stick with these two bars only.

Narrowed down search to below 2-3 stars and location looks fine from google maps.

Sources are websites guestfriendlyhotel and bargirlfriendlyhotels.

Please let me know if you recommend any of the below or if you can confirm it as girlfriendly.

    List.

    1) Spring Hotel. 44 - 46 Le Thanh Ton St, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

    Hosen 2

    Well, here is the calculation.

If roomboy arranges girls for you is 50 $.

    If you bypass roomboy: 40 $ + 10 $ hotel.

    If you bypass the pimp: 30 $ + 10 $ hotel.

I never tried to pull the rate down again, may be you guys try and let us know how it goes.

I wouldn't mind paying 10 $ to hotel as they collect the girl's I'd and check with us before releasing girl.

Hong Vy 1 hotel girl friendly?

Anyone know if the Hong Vy 1 hotel on Hai Ba Trung is guest friendly? It looks like the type of 3 star hotels that usually let you bring back girls, but I thought I'd check here to see if anyone has any first hand knowledge. I need to stay in that area for a meeting, also close to NPK.

    Thanks in advance
    Friendly

I've read opinions that say, in the daytime, even 5 star hotels are accesible for such illegal activities. If so, why the different standard between day and night? Because LE don't do day time raids?

Five star hotels "don't just let everyone in"? Well, neither do the other hotels. Moreover in other countries where prostitution is illegal, five star hotels often let in tons of hookers, day or night. So what's the real problem with VN five star hotels in forbidding VN guests in foreigners rooms, while the low star hotels allow them? Bringing in a single VN call girl to your room isn't the same as bringing in a party of 20 guests or "extended family". Surely VN five star hotels allow foreigners to bring in another foreigner as a guest to their room, so why not allow a VN guest?..
    Pink Pearl,

With someone with as many posts as you. I really can't believe the questions you are asking? Most just have logical answers that you don't what to accept. I am not a Vietnam expert like some of our other brothers on this forum. But in short the logical answer is prostitution is illegal in this country. The government is very hard on it. There is no book written how to break laws and get away with it. LOL. Which is what you want. 4-5 star hotels cater to a different class of people that 2-3 star. 1,2. 3 star hotels are more likely to look the other way. I highly doubt anyone will warn you police is coming. Even if they want to warn you so they do not get in trouble themselves there will be no time. When you monger you are putting yourself in a dangerous situation each and every time. Asian country laws and culture might not follow logic but you can say the same about some American laws. If you are in a raid don't worry you won't be able to talk with them anyway because of language barrier. You are in deep sh. Just read the forum and take what you like and stop trying to make sense of asian laws and the logical way to commit illegal activities.

If anyone has a great trip report yours should be excellent! I can't wait to hear your adventures

Saigon Europe Hotel. 207 De Tham

Stayed there during my trip. Decent place, like most of the hotels in the area in that price range. The Ashton is better but a little more money. I will try that next trip. One of the things I liked is it's off Bui Vien so it's not as noisy. Other than the woman on the bicycle with the recorded message blaring over a loud bull horn. Why would the locals let that happen at 6:00? Breakfast was decent and staff was accommodating. Maybe a little too much as I like to be left alone as I do my morning wake up ritual. As with most of SE Asia the internet can be spotty during peak hours. I had to go out in the corridor and reset the access point a few times.

They have a metal shutter that closes the entrance at night. You ring a bell and they let you in. No problem with girls. But they do not take their info so you're responsible for your guest and your belongings.

I will check out the Ashton if I can ascertain that they are girl friendly. I stayed at the Mini Hotel on Bui Vien last trip and they had very strict policy. No Vietnamese guests after 22:00.
