More walking, ended up at a little joint called Kim's something or other? Cute girl there, Cam? I believe her name was sat with me.

Having RTFF'S first thing I asked was if she bar fined. Negative. Bought her a drink as she gave me some pointers on where to go and whatnot. 168 k for lady drink and a Saigon beer, which by the way is becoming my favourite.

Kim's Tavern. Lots of hostesses / waitress none will barfine. They will be your girlfriend for $600-$1000 a month if you put them on your payroll. I find the girls are Xu more attractive than Kim's but same deal. If you want to speak English to girls while drinking.

Kind of pointless, but when you live here you can't realistically P4P everyday so often I find myself at these kind of places just drinking and chatting or hooking up with friends. Also you don't find any of those annoying backpackers in these bars.

What's the deal at Napoly.

Is it a straight out bar with FLs? Or a hostess bar? What is the price range for these girls? Getting frustrated in Saigon the lack of quality available.

Went to Lush and nothing stunning available. Anything that was worth it started at 150 usd for short time.

Apocalypse is also dismal- 200 for short time for some old hags.

Anyone have experience with Ace, Sin lounge, Gold club, chill sky bars?

Just a quick thanks to some of the posters here for some good reading. Cab driver tried the 200 k fare thing then miraculously was 400 k when I got in the cab. Bailed and walked a bit, Vinasun cab on.

Meter 130 k to hotel. 20 k tip.

Checked in, quick nap, and out for a walk.

Had a massage at a place directly across street from Ho Sen Hotel. 380 k quoted for 60 minute massage, talked her down to 250 k.

Cute girl, mid 20's, 6-7 IMO. Offered HJ + massage for 1. 5 m, BJ + massage for 2 m. I just chuckled. She was getting pretty frustrated to the point of pulling those god awful shorts down, giving me a little rub-a-dub chub, then pulling them up and pouting.

Hit Twilight as I was walking by, 2 am local time. Place was deserted except for about 10-12 girls. Some good lookers, mostly 6-7's again IMO.

Had another Saigon while a girl comes up and starts talking. 1.5 m for BJ upstairs or 2 m for fuck she tells me.

"Just here for one beer" I tell her. Hand in my lap asking me where I'm from, where I'm staying, and since it's my first time in Vietnam I should have some fun upstairs. 2 m includes the bar fine and my drink so maybe it is a bargain?

Absolutely amazed with HCMC. Walked about 4-5 hours tonight just looking around. Guessing maybe 7-8 guys in scooters pulled over and offered me everything under the sun.

So this is my first report on ISG, hopefully many more to come if the heat doesn't get me! Here for a week, off to Phnom Penh for another week, then decide where the 3rd week will be spent.

If you must get visa on arrival carrying letter or what not, my advice is to bribe one of many officials working and talking with tourists upfront to avoid endless wait. Ours was nearly two hours and I don't know how we managed not to miss our connecting flight. Or better yet get your visa at the embassy prior to your arrival if you've got time.

Not much to report on the P4 P other than what's already been reported on this forum. If you must get a girl late night motorbike guys will find you one, expect quality to vary.

Go2 Bar in District 1 does not start to pickup until after midnight, maybe even closer to 1 AM. It's pretty easy to spot the working girls because they make more eye contact with you then an optometrist during an eye exam. Some of them looked a little old in the tooth even in the very dim lighting. The place was pretty well packed by 3 AM. I nice spinner named Tina walked in around that time and it was love at first sight. After talking her down from 2 Million to 1. 5, we were off to get some noodles, and then on to my hotel so she could get the bonus noodle. She was a hellcat in bed and well worth the time and dong, and she stayed until noon which I didn't expect. I will probably partake again. Happy hunting!

Napoly is nice.

You'll have to go in the back and up the stairs, a lot of expats come here. The girls are comparable to Catwalk.

Catwalk is also nice, never get the karaoke rooms its a ripoff.

Spent over $1,000 in the karaoke room when I could have had just at much fun at the bar below for less than half that.

I'm pretty sure that he's talking about those hostess bars yes, like number 5, Kim's, chili bar, wonder bar, the office, and so on. There's a few locations where they're clustered. Behind Citi is one, like you said. Pasteur near ham Nghi is another. And also near bitexco, maybe more spots too. I don't go to them, but I know a group of guys who go make the rounds at them every week.

I am absolutely not an expert on these places, and I thought someone else here would have chirped in by now about them. Girls in these places are not available for take-out, are not working girls. Normally. But of course if you work on it a bit, you may unearth one who is up for that, it's just that it will be a lucky find, and it's a bit messy trying to figure out does she or doesn't she. I mean, how do you discreetly ask a girl if she's a working girl. And then once you do that and the answer is No, well, you know she's going to blab that to everyone she works with, and then how will that affect your image in that place.

And hey if you or anyone has good ideas how to handle that conundrum, I'm all ears. There are so many times I see girls in places like those or in cafes where I wish there was a good way to find out if they're working or not.

Yeah I mean Bitexco. There are tons of bars in those few square blocks, from sports bars to the "hostess" bars I'm talking about. I even found a really nice lounge-type bar right next door to the bar I was drinking in with my friend which prompted the question. It's probably because those girls Main job is to work at the bar rather than go with clients. Also Vietnam has a low cost of living, so often these girls can live on the wage of working at the bar. If they do go with a client it might be once a month, and the money they make is enough to pay for their living cost. These girls will eventually get married so they also want to protect their dignity for their future husbands.

On a recent trip I stopped in for a beer with a (female) Vietnamese friend after dinner, and she claims they're "working", but I really didn't get that vibe.

Keep in mind, most people here think swimming and playing basketball makes you taller, and that change in weather causes illnesses. Not bacteria or viruses, change in weather. Pseudo-wisdom abounds here.

I just remembered another popular wisdom gem: children shouldn't wear helmets while on motorbikes because it will stop their heads from growing.

Ask your Vietnamese friend about some of these.

I'm not talking about billiard bars, there don't seem to be many of them left in D1 anyway. But the nice bars, definitely more upscale than the billiard bars. Are the girls available for take-out? I've only been in those places a couple times during the day on past visits, and I barely got even a nod from any of the girls.
