So back in HCMC after a month and fortunately one of my regulars was able to join me for a couple nights, so this time my regular and I were just wingmen for a friend. This guy us so ultra-picky, it was becoming annoying. Everytime I pointed someone out to him, he would refuse half the time. The ones he approved, he sent my regular to go talk to her to get a feel for her vibe. Finally after an hour and a half, we found someone who was acceptable, She said her name was Lee (probably LE?) and she was slim and pretty. Fortunately, my friend was staying at Intercontinental Residence and he didn't have any trouble bringing his girl back for the $200 long time. But he said she snored so badly that he asked her to leave early. LOL.

Unfortunately, my three regulars were all out of town, so I had to searching for new partners. This time I was alone, since all my foreign business colleagues were women. Went to Apo and was pleasantly surprised to see a relatively hopping place at 10:30 on a Tuesday, probably because of the band. All the parties and groups in the front, all the working girls in the back and the guys lounging around in-between. I set up shop along the bar, got the buy 2 get 2 beer special and drank, listened to music and looked around. Of course, the prettiest girl there was already with a guy. So after a couple beers, I walked around and lo and behold, found a very sweet girl named Linh, fair skinned, looked sharp in short black cocktail dress and bubbly.

Decided not to dawdle, since she seemed to be the one and the band had finished anyway. My 5-star hotel won't let me bring anyone in late, so went to overnight hotel. Really was having fun and pleased with what I was seeing as we washed up except to find the see-section scar and a little flabbiness. Oh well, everything else was in great shape and got an excellent BBBJ and a wild ride, so a perfectly good time and I got back to my hotel to get several solid hours of sleep before I had to start my morning of meetings.

There's a whole new raft of bars opening up in the Pasteur St area, but the reason for this message is that many of the bar owners are the same. Be careful if you go to Wildcats, the owners are ex Kims Bar and they teach their girls how to scam customers. I heard a story last night of a customers bill from 5 pm to 8 pm being 25 million. How is that even possible? If he had 10 drinks at 100,000 a go, it means he would have had to buy 130+ lady drinks at 180,000 each. In 3 hours no fucking way. Anyway, he contested the bill and the owner immediately reduced it to 10 million. So that a definite admission of guilt.

Manhattan, My Place, Booty Bar, Corner Bar Mei Bar are all up to their usual scamming tricks so just be careful. And there is a rush of fake alcohol going around again. Johnny Walker, Jack Daniels, Absolut to name a few.

What happened to Apo? I took a friend there last week and was incredibly surprised by the lack of talent. Not just quality-wise, but simply numbers. The place was reasonably full, but mainly locals partying and expat guys. Very, very few WGs and the ones there weren't that great.

Xu bar near Navy has been ripping off customers during the world cup, preying on guys who are a little drunk and adding ridiculous numbers of lady drinks to the bill. Xu has been employing this tactic for years so be warned if you go near any of the bars operated by her. Xu, Cloud 9.

Legends Bar and My Place owned by another of the unsavory ladies who believe that racking up customers bills to compensate for their general emptiness is acceptable.

Kims Tavern has ripped customers off for years, but now has another location to prey on customers. Wild Cats. Part owned by Kim and two of her protege's (ex staff at Kim's).

Hangover and The Pub part owned by Han are two places to be careful of yr wallets. Inflated drink prices as the night gets later and adding ficticious lady drinks to yr bill. Leave a bitter taste in yr mouth.

Expats in HCMC, we should all be getting together spreading the word and putting these mercenary, cheating bitches out of business. If you ask to see the CCTV footage you will just get a shit load of excuses (Xu is the worst for this, she is so full of lies) half the time the cameras are not on.
