I have never been "pecker grabbed" in the Thermae (that I recall) and am probably thankful. In 1991 girls were too demure to do that, I think. I do enjoy reading some of the better written descriptive reports on Thermae, for example, in the good old days, but their relevancy in today's world is minor. If you present yourself in a reasonable way and turn on your cognitive powers when making a choice, it is still pretty damn easy to find a great girl. I have not had one bad one this current trip and have added 2 new ones (BKK) and 1 new one (Pattaya) to my favorites list.

But it is absolutely true. NO MONEY, NO HONEY! And isn't that the way it's always been? Unless you are under 35. A visitor, however frequent, will have a very different perspective from a resident. If you lived here, I imagine you would have at least a slightly different view. From a residents point of view there is really not much positive to report.

I actually found the advent of coyotes and agency girls to be the nail in the coffin for me regarding the GoGo scene in Thailand. It brought increased drink prices and inflated barfines. Thermae has been pretty good for me maybe because I am Asian. When I went on a Thursday night, there were so many girls outside as well as inside. I didn't talk to any girls outside because I heard they were ladyboys, but sure could have fooled me. Some of the ladyboys look better than the actual girls. There are a lot of Asians in Thermae. Most of them are in groups hanging out and drinking instead of talking to girls. There were some pretty ones in Thermae among the crowd of girls milling around the walls. For nostalgia purposes can you comment on typical prices of the girls over that 10 year history? Did they rise a lot or not. I believed I paid 500 Baht for all night in 1991 (possibly too generous), which would have been what my buddy would have told me was the going rate I guess, although he was more stingy and might have paid less. I did come back to the Thermae some years later and got a wonderful sweet girl who was a Hotel maid, whose husband had died, but I don't recall the year or the price.
