I heard this is common. You need to check with the AQ hotel you book with that you will be the only person in the taxi from the airport to the hotel. Some hotels charge extra for this but imo it's worth the extra few hundred baht they will charge you.

Arrived in BKK. Getting through the airport took 15 minutes via a very efficient two-step process for checking Thai Pass and related paperwork. No mention of the Morchana app or scanning QR codes.
