The biggest issue with Bangkok right now is that Sunday to Wednesday is really dead in the clubs etc. Thursday to Saturday some places can get busy but most still struggle.

The issue is too few customers to really get the industry going at the moment.

Think it'll recover by the Fall? Once winter hits Europe maybe people will come back.

Nana is an interesting place right now. It is busy Friday and Saturday but the other nights dead, no customers and lack of staff.

One thing to also note. Spankys is setting there short term at 4 k and long term 7 k. I assume to keep the bar full of women as not many punters are going to barfine them at that rate. I spoke to a few newbies there and they had not been barfined in first 2 weeks at spankys Both doable. I declined their rediculous pricing.

Its not just Nana. Kings Castle 2 in Si Lom and Baccara in Cowboy was also setting 4ST /7 LT as well. Feels like the price of everything is high ATM. No wonder Doki Doki has been having non-stop traffic.

As I said in a previous post. I'm new to BKK but I've been finding decent enough luck around Thermae. Sunday night was packed with Freelancers most of them looked like displaced gogo girls. I counted maybe 4 or 5 over 40's in the almost 50+ girls in there. There were so many there wasn't enough standing room on the sides and girls were spilling out into the streets. I don't know if that normal or not but they were definitely trying to get the bag. I wasn't too partial to the Jap / kor crowd though.

I'm heading down to Pattaya today so I'm hoping the price inflation didn't effect the beer bar girls on 6 down there where I usually hang out. I'll put my report there after my first week and compare the two. Again Gogo's are never my thing but I'll still check them for the sake of efficiency. Until them wish me luck. Happy mongering.

Any recommendations on where to go and what to do during the 6 hrs layover at BKK between 17:00 to 23:00? I am not talking about sightseeing and the touristy stuff. Something that can help me relax for the next long leg of the flight.

It's rush hour, you might risk to be studied in traffic and by the time you are in lower sukhumvit it's time to head back to the airport.

Late evening sees also many flights to Europe and so security lines might be busy.

Yep. I feel like that has been true for a long time. Sounds like it's even more true now. My favorite haunts pre-COVID were massage places for the daytime young undiscovered gems, gogos for fun evening entertainment (but too many bored looking normal looking girls shuffling around a stage pretending to be "dancing", Analisa or DokiDoki or Snow White (and Annie's back in the olden days) for good service, and Eden Club for non-stop action with MILFy older providers until I was exhausted. To be honest, I have always struggled to find the prettiest girls in Thailand. No one venue seems to be the best for looks. Sometimes it feels like needles in a haystack. There are definitely gorgeous Thai girls, but there are a ton of plain Janes. I truly hope that everything moves toward normal by February.

Everyone has their own plan in BKK. This involves different budgets, different types of girls, places etc. Some guys may come on this board and said they were grabbing 7's all week long from a beer bar for 1500. While another group of guys would walk past the same beer bar and judge all the girls as 4's to 5's and wouldn't fuck them for free. No one is right or wrong it is just we all have a different game.

The guys that like low quality high volume girls loved the pandemic and are continuing to love it. I personally see fewer women but like a higher standard, I wish I could get off on more average looking girls, it would be easier and cheaper but it is what it is.

Anyway, most guys like me went the girlfriend root during thr pandemic. Most of the better looking girls, insta ho group went the boyfriend route. When there was less customers and less new girls it worked well enough. I tend to hang with the girlfriend 3 or 4 nights a week. I might hit a gogo once a week, but the guys I go with generally only drink there and not grab the girls. Sometimes they do, but not often. The gogos tend to have average looking girls at way above average prices. Most of the hottest girls have boyfriends with cash or they get clients through their social media at not very cheap prices. Yes, the massage places are great to slip away quietly and get a little bit. Most guys I know here tend to have a few favourites scattered around the place.

I get that pretty girls can be found on fiwfans, but I am not a fan of web site sourcing. It requires too damn much time on the internet looking while holed up in my hotel room.

Personally I don't see the point of traveling to BKK as long as things remain as they apparently are. So, is this the end of BKK as a major girly entertainment destination? Maybe. I would have thought that after a 2 year hiatus the girls would have flocked back to the Go Go's and a huge supply would create demand. Apparently not. But until there is a ample quality supply of girls around, I doubt punters in large numbers will return and demand will remain low. It sounds like BKK is in a depression.

Every new "friend" I have met stated that they only do short time only / nearby short time hotel.

Thank you for the update. This is exactly the info we all need. I have plans to go around February, so I'm hoping things liven up before then. My primary targets are the fresh slim cheerful younger providers, not the hardened 35-45 yo olds. Sounds like those are the providers still hanging around. Yes, I have had mind blowing experiences at Eden Club at the hands of "mature" providers, but that's not my fave. And Eden Club is gone, anyhow.

I have the option of hitting Pattaya or Phuket in addition to BKK (and maybe Chiangmai). Still trying to figure out which location will have the first fresh faces arriving from Isaan. Is the beginning of the pipeline Soi 6 in Pattaya and / or the Sukumvit Soi 22 and Soi 24/1 massage shops in BKK? Do they usually "graduate" from those venues to become gogo girls? Please tell me I won't be stuck looking on my phone on fiwfans?

Hua Hin, and Phuket (but not Patong, think Rawai etc), have always got and are still getting the FotBs (Fresh of the Bus) Isaan girls straight into the bars, and massage.

If these girls hit Bangkok and Pattaya first, then they usually ended up in the gogos at stupid prices.

Yes, "advised" to wear one is the idea, but not mandated to do so. At least a dozen MRT security guards at turnstiles and on the train loading platforms looked directly at me not wearing a mask and made no effort in word or gesture to indicate I ought to put on a mask. That was as of July 1.

On the evening of June 30 when many places had already dropped the mask requirement a guard at the entrance to a mall food market stopped me from going in until I put on a mask. But the very next day that same guard didn't say a word or make the same effort when I entered without a mask.

First potentially nice outcome from my not wearing a mask in a mall was a previously reluctant to meet me lovely 21 year old regular, non P4P girl I had only chatted with briefly on ThaiFriendly and then Line said she thought she saw me in Terminal 21 with a friend while she was shopping there too and was that me. Yes, it was. Since she was still wearing a mask I did not recognize her from just having seen her TF and Line photos. Said she passed by me 3-4 times. Now she is eager to meet anytime.

I have read a couple of comments that masks are still mandatory on the MRT / Subway and the Skytrain.

My experience has been masks are no longer mandatory on the MRT / Subway as of July 1. There are no longer any signs illustrating or stating that masks must be worn. On July 1 I forgot I wasn't wearing a mask on the street, entered the MRT station at Sukhumvit (Terminal 21 Mall), passed all the masked security guards at the escalator, through the turnstile past the masked guards, down the steps, entered a train car and was three stations along my way before it suddenly dawned on me I was the only one not wearing a mask.

At my destination station, before I passed through the exit turnstile I walked up to a masked guard still without my mask and outright asked if it was ok for me not to wear a mask. He gave me a thumbs up and ok sign.

Same with all of the 7-11's and most of the malls I have walked into since July 1; Terminal 21, Siam Paragon, Central Chidlom, Central World, EmQuartier and Emporium. No masks required, not even in their food markets, since July 1.

Now, I am not sure about the BTS / Skytrain just yet. I have not had a reason to pass through a Skytrain station turnstile since July 1 without a mask to see what happens. But I can tell you that just like the MRT there are no longer any illustrations or signs indicating that masks must be worn in the BTS Asoke station entrances.

The closest I got to testing it was walking right up to the turnstile without a mask in full view of the various guards looking directly at me and none of them waved me back or pointed to their masks to indicate I ought to put one on. If I didn't have someone waiting for me in the mall at the time I would have run the test all the way into a train car.
