Thai ID (at least one issued within the last 5-10 years) is a lot harder to fake. Indonesia one could be made by any print shop.

As for getting a real Thai ID with fake data, it must be possible, but I doubt it's particularly easy these days, and it wouldn't come cheap. More of a Hi-so guy covering his tracks territory. Would not expect that level of effort / connections / expense from a ladyboy hooker hiding they're male just in case a problem customer cares, insists on checking ID and doesn't take "I forgot mine" or "it's my brother's" as an answer. Yes ID is issued at your local Amphoe where you Tabien Baan is registered too. You cannot change from man to woman or other way, Official Thai ID will always show your birth sex. It's possible of course to have a fake ID, but what's the point?

Yes, that was one of the reasons I had doubts about 2-3 of them in Lollipop go-go bar being Ladyboys. They were sitting with average-looking Farang customers who seemed perfectly comfortable with them to the point of perhaps being their repeat ST customers. Just curious why bars are switching from girls to ladyboys. From a business perspective are ladyboy bars in Nana more profitable than a regular female gogo bar? Are they busier?

According to Stickman, who no longer writes his online weekly article but did so up until a few months ago, the Ladyboy Bars were the only bars consistently making money in Nana Plaza. And he was supposed to be quite on the inside in terms of knowing how much the bar rents were, how much they were making per week / month, knowing the bar owners fairly well and all. But I don't recall if he ever said why. I have been in a couple of Ladyboy bars due to my and some friends' curiosity. Seemed to me I saw a couple of Asian tour groups showing up, to the delight of the dancers. Was the answer that a tour stop, even if only for the sake of curiosity, kept the money coming in consistently? Not to mention the number of Ladyboys being barfined out by some of those tourist customers as well.

The only way a Ladyboy bar could make more money from me is if I ever decided to talk a stroll on the wrong side and barfine one I would most certainly need to load up on many, many more alcoholic beverages than I ordinarily drink in a whole month to be able to take that step. Yeah, Lollipop in Nana Plaza is the only go-go bar in Thailand where I honestly am not sure if 2-3 of the dancers are Ladyboys or not! LOL.
