Read your detailed report and some good nuggets of info in there. That being said, and since this is your first post, let it be known that LB discussions are strictly verboten here unless I missed a recent policy change. And all things being equal, I don't understand how you could possibly pay 5. 000 bt fee for the experience since you "overran the time" in your words. The 800 Bt bar fine sounds reasonable enough but that leaves paying over odds of 4200 bt in a LB bar. It sounds like you were taken for a proverbial ride?

Just one final clarification before I let this encounter disappear into the archives: the 5 k baht was for ST + room + time overrun, in aggregate. I think it was a little on the pricey side but still fair. The 800 baht barfine was on top of all this, so the total cost came to basically 5.8 k baht, not including drinks.
