I was under the opposite impression. If you were born male, your Thai ID will always say male. Maybe somebody can provide a link that proves it one way or the other.

I did a google search on "Thailand ID card gender", but the link is about 5 lines long and I couldn't successfully copy it to this forum. Here is the most important text:

"... some Thai ID documents include the prefixes Mr. , Miss, or Mrs. As part of a first name. .... The card's title corresponds to an individual's sex assigned at birth".

This is consistent with every Thai ID card that I've ever read, and I read most of them before giving it to hotel reception.

For the first one, I read it a few months ago on another board and it's been confirmed by many members in that board (pics were on their website at that time, they are not anymore, but she looked very plastic girl).

I spent some time in Billboard for 3 or 4 nights in a raw last week. Although their girls are not particularly good looking I found the place to be good to go and get a drink. I feel more relax there than in any other places in the NEP.

During that time I slowly started scrutinizing one of their girls, and started taking a liking for her.

Funny thing is I've not seen her being called or barfined even once during that time, even after midnight, when there are fewer girls on the stage. She looks so shy, never making an eye contact with nobody, though I could see her at times briefly watching some younger dudes, mostly Asian guys.

At that point I was wondering if I should call her over right now or wait for her to go back on stage before calling her.

Next thing I know is she was standing at the table of these three guys. I couldn't believe my eyes, the moment I decided to call her over, someone else took a liking for her. To make matters worse, they pulled the trigger and barfined her after one drink.

I could still gather some interesting information. Sweet heart didn't look shy anymore in the middle of these guys. She was pointing the number two with her fingers and said ok I can do that, which I believed was her accepting to be jumped by two of these guys (the other one already settled on another girl and didn't participate in the talks whith her). When she came back, she had a classy dress on, and a heavy hand on a very strong perfume that would have given me a big headache for the whole night if I took her for ST. I could see the guy handing her over loads of bills, probably more than ten 1 K bills, excluding the drinks and barfines that had been paid separately.

The other thing is these guys found themselves rounded by loads of waitresses and mamasans requesting them some tips. These poor guys were clearly newbies, they reluctantly gave 100 bahts bills to all these people, more than 1 K just in tips.

Eventually, they left with her and the other girl, which can be an indication that the plan was indeed for two of the guys to jump on her alone.

Moral of the story, tell sweet heart to have a weak hand on the perfume the moment you barfine her.

Don't get yourself confused by signs of her being shy or inexperienced.

Don't be as slow as I was once you decided on calling her over, she might be called by someone else at any time even if she is not popular.

And last but not least, don't give tips to every people requesting one, just one to the mamasan and to 1 or 2 waitresses who serviced you should be enough, and not necessarily 100 bahts bills to everyone, 20 bahts or 50 bahts bills can do it too.

Can anyone guide me if clubs like shock, levels still exist or any other club for some good looking Thai girls other than Tharmae.

After spending a few weeks in Pattaya, I visited Bangkok for a few days. Here's my experience, limited time-wise, using Pattaya as a base for comparisons.

Nana Plaza. In the entrance to the complex, all men are required to queue and go through a checkpoint of sorts. Some are required to show an ID. The whole place is full of gogos. On weekdays, they were pretty much empty, and disappointingly similar to the run-of-the-mill gogos in Pattaya. Only Billboard was full. I'm not sure why it's so popular, but there was no pressure or even expectation to buy LDs. New customers are offered to sit next to the stage, but are then told to move away. It's the bar's policy to always keep one or two seats next to the stage empty to lure newcomers.

I barfined a girl from a gogo on the ground floor. She seemed to really like me, and I decided to give it a go. The whole way back to the hotel the girl (31 year old) was totally tensed up, I felt nothing good is going to come out of it. I tried hard to have her relax (for 45 minutes in total.), it did help a bit. But service was still atrocious. Once she realized I've given up on having a good experience and just thinking of how to finish the session, she started trying harder, but that was way too late. Things like this do happen in Pattaya, but mainly in beer bars. A 2/10.

All in all I have no reason to go back to Nana, not unless Pattaya disappears.

Soi Cowboy. Went there around 8 PM and 10 PM, the bars I had pre-selected had no customers whatsoever, so I skipped them.

Pat-pong. The World Bar (aka Linda Bar) is still alive and kicking, although may be a tad difficult to find. The ladies are 5 or perhaps 6/10 max, but in the bar anything goes. Worth a visit, but Lips Lounge Soi Honey in Pattaya offers a similar yet better experience IMHO, including better looking ladies. I also visited a King's Castle in Patpong (I don't know which one), another typical gogo, but the girls were forbidden to initiate contact with a customer (through conversation or even gestures).

Wood Bar. Took a 1000 THB girl (I think she was half-African or something) and the experience was OK, but a bit like being sucked off by some type of machinery. No eye contact, it got better when I started setting the rithm by gently pushing her head down. Perhaps I should have chosen a fatter and less attractive girl, they try harder. Still, totally acceptable experience.

I skipped the soapies, tried them a few years back (they were OK). And I did not try throwing money around in PIMP.

Final verdict: It's good if your main focus is tourism (70-80% of time). If you're mainly about mongering, stay in Pattaya.

Yeah, that's his point. The going rate for girls hasn't actually kept up with the salary increases in the west, hence why you see more and more guys being willing to meet the price increases that the girls request. It's why I don't buy all of the complaining over price increases because yes, the price of girls over the past ten years has gone up by 1000 baht or 100 k colombian pesos (30-100 USD) but my salary has doubled, as has the salary of most of the middle class.

The only people getting squeezed by the price increases are poor, fixed-income retirees and poor, working-class folks. There are still many options available for them in Bangkok or anywhere else, but I do understand that it sucks to get priced out of the specific market that was open to them before the influx of richer people pushed them out. I still think the prices in the massage shops should be accessible to every monger who comes to Bangkok and those girls are still pretty good, but it does seem like the prime agency / online girls may be shifting upward.
