To be honest there's so many Indians in Pattaya now that I don't think anyone can afford to outright ban Indians anymore. The only place that didn't let me in was the Russian tourist cafe, which they said was for Russians only. Just look smart, smell good, be polite, smile and I think you should be fine.

I'm in Bangkok now, but I haven't really been out punting yet, I did take a walk around Sukhumvit Road, Soi 3 and soi Cowboy and the girls all seemed friendly towards me. In the past I did have an issue with one of the rainbow bars at Nana. But as far as I'm concerned if they don't want to let me in its their loss, I'll just spend my money elsewhere!

However as this just falls into the Christmas period can anybody tell me whether this period is worthwhile going when it comes up to local girls? Nothing happens in Thailand for Christmas. Not Christian. So is fine. However when gets very close to New year, Bangkok can get a bit quiet with many girls heading up country. Not really such a big deal, but expect some closures New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, and lots of drinking.

Most Japanese men go to the karaoke bars on Thaniya Road, 1 block from Patpong. There you will see 100's of better than average Thai girls sitting on the street. Since you're not looking to partake and want to see different things in Bangkok this is certainly one not to pass up.

I checked out the tour link you posted. I'd rather stay home than go on that.

There are a few Karaoke bars on Soi33, near the hotel I always use. The girls outside the clubs (before things start heating up) are very nice, although I have never been to most of the bars on Soi Cowboy and even fewer in Nana, so I cannot give a good comparison (I tend to go to MPs during the day and try and pick up semi pros in discos like insanity or off of Thaifriendly.com in the nights). Nevertheless, even though they do not speak English, the spoke directly to my little head. THe sad part was, I was always kindly asked to leave these karaoke bars because I wasn't Japanese. I only resisted once, but the pressure to leave ultimately convinced me to move on.

Are these girls simply company for Japanese men? Or can they be bar fined? More importantly, are there any that are actually friendly to Americans?

1. If you have an open mind you might just catch a little yellow fever while you are in town. Some of us think Asian girls are very sexy and we like their demure personalities better than White or Latina girls.

3. For casual observance your best bet is Soi Cowboy. Start your night on the town around 8:30 to 9 pm on Soi Cowboy. RTFF and take note of the GO GO's getting mostly positive reviews. It won't hurt you to go into a couple of them and order a coke light or a beer. I recommend 1. Crazy House, 2. Baccara, and 3. Shark for your 1st time visit especially Crazy House and Baccara for visuals. If you see a girl you like inside one of these GO GO's ask her over and buy her a lady drink. It is totally your option. There is no pressure to do anything except buy yourself a coke or something. Alternatively, you can sit outside Baccara or Shark on their patios, sip a coke light, and watch the street scene unfold.

When you are ready to move on take a walk down Sukhumvit past Terminal 21 and the Grande Centre Point Hotel towards Soi 4 and Nana. Along the way you will see lots of interesting things and you should have a really good time. Stop off at Thermae. It is a different visual scene inside there. They have a ton of girls. Then later continue your walk to Soi 4 and Nana. Nana Plaza is as visually interesting as Soi Cowboy perhaps more, but in a totally different way. In addition, the 1st 2 or 3 blocks down Soi 4 is very interesting in its own right. Avoid Hooters. It is a tourist trap. Morning Night or Stumble Inn bar across the street is far better for viewing Soi 4 and far more authentic. Once again RTFF and gather up a list of at least 3 or 4 Nana Go Go's receiving mostly positive reviews here and take your pick of any of them when you arrive in Nana Plaza. I recommend Billboard, Twister, and Rainbow 4 in that order for starters. If you want to take in a ladyboy bar, go ahead, Nana is the place for that. There are at least 3 or 4 of them in Nana. You can't miss them as you walk around the plaza.

4. One night is not enough to see it all, but if you just manage to cover a portion of what I have outlined above you will have seen an eyeful. Don't allow yourself to be guided or detoured by any touts you may meet on the street. Stick to the program I have outlined and you will be fine. Sukhumvit BKK is totally safe. There are also a number of nightclubs on Soi 11 worth checking out later after midnight if you are still out and about.

Key points to keep in mind: Fahgettaboud guided tours and Hooters. Don't talk to touts. Keep an open mind about Thai girls. They are really quite sexy and nice. POST A TRIP REPORT. And have a great time.

1. Its about the girl, not the soapy. If you want A+ service, at any location, just ask who there does it. Its normal and fine to ask, don't feel bad or weird for it, its a totally normal ask.

2. I'm a fan of really big tits-- they are harder to find than you'd imagine. There's absolutely not any location where they specialize in big tits, enhanced or not, if there was, it would likely be packed, but the girls would probably find a guy to take them away soon too. But pretty much any MP or whatever will have some girl with enhanced stuff that will be OK, but if you're looking for really big tits, you just got to hope you go to a place and there's some huge jugs around. You might want to check out some of the gogos in Nana and see what's there instead of MPs, since there are so many girls at Nana.
