You took the words right out of my mouth. You are too use to bath houses in Japan. In my opinion in the future if there is one you got to get over the dirty water thing? Even if you were to visit a cleaner facility you got the same dirty water coming in from the pipes (can't drink that water no matter where you are in Thailand ). You got to remember you were in the tub too! Under your situation even if the girl gave you a BBBJ in the tub you still would have been thinking about YOUR dirty bath water. Getting a BBBJ in the tub is up to the provider but maybe the girl saw facial your facial expression of looking at the dirty water instead of her and did you a favor and got you out of there.

Even if your got a soapie with the air mattress you might not have enjoy it since it is on the floor and that can't be much cleaner than your own dirt in the tub. I still remembera a soapie I had with a provider that had a rock solid body with a C cup. She gave me a soapie on a air mattress and she work so hard we both slide right off the mattress and onto the bath floor towards the drain. We both had a great laugh on the other hand I think you might have snapped?

If you can get over the water you might give it another try? I don't see Japan bath houses being much cleaner with all that pubic hair floating around?

You're right LBM, it aint that clean in Japan either, and yes maybe the girl did see my facial expression and was being nice by asking me to move to the bed. She was a very nice girl and very clean, I was just not comfortable bathing in my own dirty water, next time I'll just take a shower before I go and things will be good. I do prefer the air mattress better, having said that, the tub is just a different experience; will definitely try again if I do return to Bangkok.

You know what I didn't even realize this but yes, the Thai girl was cleanly shaved! Haha good one about the pubic hair in Japan bath houses.

Thai girls are maniac for showers and cleaniness. Us, guys, should wash usually a couple of times in BKK due to heat and humidity.

You did not elaborate much on the girl performances and the letter (I assume you took a sideline by the price you paid)

This would be nice to know, so to figure out whether this girl is worth attention by other mongers.

I would not cancel a soapie from the mongering plans, maybe I would cancel the specific girl from the choices, so not to bring back "bad memory"

Next time I will just shower before I go and that will solve everything. I didn't last time due to my tight schedule.

The girl was very nice, nice attitude, nice body, very nice to me as a first timer, but her skill was just so-so which is why I didn't recommend her nor did I remember her call number.

I would def. Not cancel future soapie's based on this one experience, in fact I think every monger should definitely try soapies; doesn't matter if it is Bangkok, Shenzhen, Tokyo. But I do prefer matt soapies better than tub soapies and next time I would RTFF again and try to go to a soapy in Thailand that uses Matts.

[/QUOTE]Its a LONG 5 minutes to walk up to Nana, I stayed at the OMNI and did it a few times a day, dodging food carts, homeless, tuk tuks, chunks of pavement gone, ladyboys, and the tons of Aeabs that end of Soi 4.

I stayed there in June. Standard room w / wifi was US$60 / night. Price of room is actually for double occupancy, so you're expected to have a guest! They have a small pool on the top floor. If your stomach can handle it, there are street food stalls right outside of the hotel at night. Perfect for fuelling the body before hitting the bars. For fruits, I would recommend going to the stall outside of Nana plaza. Better prices.

I normally stay at the Dynasty Grande, but Soi 6 had construction and it wasn't passable. They're actually sister hotels. The pool at Dynasty Grande is bigger, but Dawin is a bit newer, so same-same.

The answer to both questions is yes. Last week I bought both ypes of cards in he airport at a desk located quite near the exit. The 3G sim worked perfectly, and you can top it up by going on line.

Thanks for that. Can you remember the cost? Also the sim card for the netbook, how much data can you get on prepay, is it cheap to to up?

As for my iPhone I'm just wanting access to Facebook & emails when I'm on the go.

I never Actually thought about buying the at the airport, I imagine it will be a little more expensive but without all the hassle of finding a mobile shop in Bangkok.

Will be in Bangkok again next month and I will update the forum on whether Foodland has reopened unless some kind brother can provide an update earlier.

The Suk Foodland was not open at the beginning of July and it did not look close to being in condition to open. It kind of sucked because I would always stop in there for provisions and sometimes grab a bit to eat at the food counter.

If you've been reading the forum over the years, I'm sure you've got all the info you need. I've been to Bangkok many many times through out the years. And the first time was by myself reading the forum. I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for easily. Or better yet, it will find you. Have a great time!

I'm sure you're right. In my travels I generally find that with good info (here) and an open mind, fair bit of street smarts, plus some general kindness and respect for people, then fate usually helps you find what you're looking for (or at least gives you an interesting adventure!). I was in Bangkok a week ago (first time) , and after RTFF, I decided to try out Annie's.

There are probably better ones but I did not have much spare time due to work to explore other options.

I took a cab and told the driver Mariott suckahmvit soi 2 as I was told never tell Taxi drivers that you're going to Nana or any soapy massage place as they will just drive you around Bangkok and take you to the ones they know so they earn a percentage.

Arrived at Mariott, out their door, turn left, walk down the street and Annie's should be on your left.

Upstairs, mamasan, two options, fishbowl girls at THB 2500, shower ladies at THB 1700.

Shower ladies are older, eventhough there were about 15 girls in the fishbowl, I didn't really like any of them.

Oh by the way, it was Friday night at around 11pm.

Wanted to leave but stayed in the end and went with a recommendation from the mamasan.

Paid. Went into the room, started off in the tub.

Now the next part really bothered me, she washed me in the tub, but then did not completely drain the tub water, only half of it.

So I'm half soaked in my own (and her) dirty tub water while she starts to rub herself all over me with soaps lotions, etc.

I did not enjoy it at all and wanted her to drain all the water but she couldn't understand me haha.

20mins went by and I'm just damn uncomfortable, maybe it's just me, but the bath water really bugged me.

She signaled to me that she was done and wanted me to move to the bed.

(I thought they were suppose to do a BBBJ in the tub? But who cares, I was just happy to get out of the tub haha.)

Annies isn't the cleaniest or the newest place. There are lots of nicer places. I do agree with the others, the girls do keep themselves very clean. But also remember, you're in Thailand. So it's not going to be as clean as Japan.
