I see it often written on blackboards promoting daily specials and drink prices in tourist areas.

Not sure how bath crept into the lingua.

Agree that costs should be in the currency of the country being discussed. Americans are the biggest culprits always posting amounts in US dollars. If I see the dollar sign am I to I think it is Hong Kong Dollars, Singapore Dollars, Taiwan dollars, Australia dollars, New Zealand dollars? How am I supposed to know which one it is? Only SEA country where USD should be an accepted financial term is Cambodia since USD is the currency most often used in that country. I think what a bargain if a post says that a bar girl is only 100 dollars because 100 Hong Kong dollars is only 390 baht!

I always write B400, for example, to designate baht. Most people understand what I mean by using the letter "be". My Android phone can't make a proper baht symbol.

A Quid is a British Pound currently equal to $1.30684. I know because I just looked it up and because I have been binge watching "the Saint" with Roger Moore on Amazon Prime TV. 555. I am up to Season 3, Episode 4 still in black & white. Sir Roger was a better Saint than a Bond IMHO. There is only one Bond!

Interestingly Shirley Eaton, an English stunner who played the golden girl in "Goldfinger" played a bad girl in an early Saint episode season 2. It was nice to unexpectedly see her on the TV again. AND a very young Julie Christie, a truly smokin' hot British blond also from the 60's, who I used to have a teenage hard on for, played another bad girl in a different early Saint episode from season 1. I have no clue what a quid is currently worth and most non Brits would struggle too. Certainly does not easily let us know if a deal is good or not. I have been to England/Scotland/NE but not recently, and some on here may never have been there.

No one called you a "ratbag", I was only surprised that I thought you said you were banned on some forum. I assume it takes a serious "ratbag" (affectionate term for someone a bit controversial or mischievous) or thread troll to get banned. Someone that stirs up lots of trouble? Maybe not. So I did not mean to accuse you of anything, only surprised.

In Thailand, the currency "pounds" is not pronounced well by Thais and sounds a lot like "born" which is quite tricky till you get used to it. Thais do poorly with multiple consonants together at the end of words, unless very highly educated in English by foreigners.

That said, if the reader really is wanting a physical type, you are most correct that many Surin girls do look very Khamer.

I didn't say that, more that girls from outside Thailand but near to Thailand borders, e. G. Cambodia, can look very similar to Thai or Issan girls in general, e. G. One in Crazy House looked Thai (no broad nose and not specially dark) and wanted to speak English more so than speak Thai, supposedly coming from Siem Riep. Yet Phnom Penh girls look quite different to Thai in my limited experience.

Similarly a Lao girl I know from Savannakhet (close to border) looks more like Thai than typical Lao looks that I saw in Vientiane (this is also close to border but may include many girls from elsewhere).

I have not noticed Surin girls looking similar to Cambodian so far. I generally prefer Surin girls (the prettier ones) over Phnom Penh girls, for looks, although maybe my Cambodian girl sample was too poor. I suppose very dark skinned girls from Buriram and Surin can be thought of as like Cambodian from the dark skin tone, however skin colour is not an important factor for me. Buriram girls can be ugly but not always. I don't recall any regular girls from Buriram. Some from Sisaket and Surin though.

Prices on ISG are traditionally reported in the local currency. Why you ask? Because exchange rates fluctuate. By your method: looking at the pricing in a report from months ago can potentially vary quite a bit. And by you method: it requires a double conversion to be meaningful for most people (USD- GBP- THB for example) so even less relevant over time.

To be perfectly honest the bouncers probably saved you some money. If you like the young cute innocent types that East Asian dudes usually go for, those girls in Rainbow (specifically RB3 & RB4) and Baccara (ground floor) basically only look for Asian customers, and every once in a while, a white guy.

Cross the border into Bpoi Bpaet or fly to Phnom Penh. Seems like a really silly question. They exist in Bangkok but maybe illegal as far as being sex workers. So we should not divulge where to find them, if there was actually any answer.

I have done two girls at least in Bangkok known to be Cambodian, but I can't say where to find them. They both had good English skills as well as Thai skills.

The ones that live very close to Thailand (as in my two) may look very much like Thais, but speak Thai slightly strangely. Thai girls from Surin area may speak a dialect like ancient Cambodian, and not hard to find these types at all, but officially they are Thai.
