Unless we're talking about approaching grisly, destitute street beggars for 500 baht Long Times. My greater concern then would be one might take me up on it.
But I am definitely not inclined to pay FLs more (or less) based on the ambience of the venue I happened to meet them in. I prefer to pay them based on the level and quality of service they gave me. For me, a True GFE/Real Sex with an above average looking Thai girl whether I meet her in Insanity, Thermae or the dark downside of Soi 4 is worth around 2,000 - 2,500. I would feel I got a pretty good deal with such a girl for 1,500 baht and that I'd overpaid for 3,000 baht, both of which have happened off and on, of course.
What I pay, if anything, when things go badly whether because I'd been obviously scammed or it falls in that grey area where it could simply have been her ineptitude has to be determined on a case by case basis. I'd put a girl out with no more than 200 baht taxi fare who got naked in my room then started changing the agreement to something unacceptable to me in an obvious scam attempt even if she was the hottest, most popular FL in Mixx or whatever.

1) Girls are leaving town in their thousands.
2) Soi 7/1 best place to find some action and a beer.
3) Most dangerous place on the planet is an immigration office.

I will posit that hooking is a much easier "job" than say standing on ones feet as a mall clerk or fast food or being a maid cleaning shitty toilets all day, changing jizz soaked sheets etc.
Why else do so many attractive girls around the world suck dick? Most will tell you "EAZY money" they are lazy and it is easy, I won't dare call it work.
I think hookers should make much less than other low skill occupations, not more.
There are many countries where illiterate girls are making more than many physicians or dds or attorneys.

Posts: 5451Not worth the effort to fly to Bangkok now
The Soi Cowboy, Sukhumvit, Nana Plaza areas were practically desolate last night after 11pm. There was a tiny sprinkling of small bars open here and there, none of the usual big names mentioned on these threads, apparently still open on the premise that they serve food too or, more to the point I suppose, are not packed tight with customers.
At that hour I only saw a few street girls, none if whom struck me as above a 6 in terms of looks, although it was difficult to know for sure with the streets as dark as they were.
It was creepy enough walking around my usual route with so little activity going on. I am sure it will be even creepier after a few more days of NO INCOME in the pockets of the rare bad guys these kind if tourist areas can attract even during good times, if you get my drift.
I was only out then because I had walked my latest regular non P4P girlfriend to bts Nana to bid farewell after a day and evening together. I would not consider sending a girl on her way alone on these streets at night these days, carrying a purse, obviously having left a hotel or apartment complex after a profitable "date" with a tourist or expat unless she was a hardened, experienced, street smart pro. And even then I would be inclined to at least make sure she gets into an auto taxi or onto a motorbike taxi safely enough.
In this case, my girl was a just turned 22 year old cutie who works as a professional model I met and began dating over a month ago. Looks young enough to get a lot of "Junior Miss" type fashion gigs, one of which she insisted I come along to watch yesterday. Comes from an upper middle class Thai family. Mom and Dad bought her a condo in the Phra Kanong area and she is not yet comfortable to go missing from there when Mom calls after midnight to check on how she's doing. Hense, the 11pm return to her place instead of sleeping over at mine.
She doesn't need the money but I still give her a token 500 - 1000 baht "for travel" to and from my apartment after we shatter the Social Distance virus transmission prevention recommendations having Real Sex because I think that helps to keep them from assuming more non pay-related emotional commitment than I am interested in juggling and dealing with for now.

Posts: 194As I understand it, the barrier to entry into Thailand is:
1. need health certificate within 72 hours of flight departure that you are clear of Covid19.
2. need medical insurance to cover covid19 and $100 k usd medical coverage.
3. mandatory quarantine for 2 weeks at novitel.
Is anyone still planning on traveling there once these go into effect, especially with everything being dead right now?

Posts: 33Visa on arrival / evisa. Issue / Guidance
Has anyone had issue with visa on arrival / evisa after you landed in Thailand?
Reason for asking is because I had an issue a week before. Right on the day of my travel visa on arrival had been stopped.
We raised priority e-visa from Thai embassy and was given. Airline checked and confirmed good for travel.
After we reached Bangkok, we were told visa on arrival including evisa is stopped. We were detailed and were sent back on next flight back home.
We were treated pretty bad with people who didn't even understand basic English.
Has anyone had any luck in getting any kind of refund from airline or embassy or anyone in similar situation?
We had both to and fro ticket which was adjusted for our travel back.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
