Really? Really? NPL on an average night 5 years ago would get over 100 girls. When the Nana disco closed that number would shoot up. Lots of young things. Girls would still be coming out till 3am. Now on a given night you might get 20 and they are basically the same 20 every night and have been for the past 2-3 years. Not to notice this decline is hard to imagine. Beauty may be in the eyes of the beholder but numbers are numbers. The cops have scared all but the brave and desperate away.

This is a comedy of errors. First it seems you only read half of my post which spoke of "quality" and responded to that. But in your response, quoted here, to the subject of "quality" you are speaking of something completely different, namely QUANTITY. Secondly, if you had read my entire post, I already stated that from my observations the Nana Parking Lot numbers this year were down in the evenings.

For years here I've read many disparaging comments like yours about the Nana Car Park (NCP) & have responded accordingly. Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For example, most of the pics in the photo thread, even those that claim to be attractive, hot or stunners, I wouldn't go with if they paid me.

That being said, however, I haven't seen a decline in quality in the Nana Car Park since 2007. The price is generally the same, namely 1000 Baht ST. The looks are still there. The service is, if anything, better. Overall my experience certainly is. Last year I was amazed at the bodies of some of those I picked up. This year I haven't got out a lot, as I have my regulars I call but, from my observations, the numbers seem to be down for the evening workers, but up for the daytime. Some girls are also working the street nearby. Or indoors at bars & places like the Beergarden on soi 7. These changes are, I think, at least in part to avoid the LE raids to fine them (pocket) 1000 baht a head. As usual there is always the fresh meat; the new kids in town, from Bumfuck Isaarn. Last year, before the floods, when I paid a couple visits to Rainbow 4 in NEP, the lineup on the streets was better IMO. Also, of course, much cheaper, & probably better service & attitude as well.

Not to the point where the girls, except for the most hardcore skanks, are uncomfortable being there. Nana was always funky and that was wonderful. Now it is just dirty, trash on the streets and as I said very undesirable with the change of demographics.

Just different of opinions I guess. You are buying a low end Bangkok SW. Not a Mercedes Benz. When was it ever clean?

To me the overall atmosphere and element in that area adds to the experience. That is why I go there.

Stay in Sukhumvit around Soi 3, 7 or anywhere along there. Do not go to Riverside. I've been there the last two nights and didn't even get laid.

Just a quick questions. What areas of Bangkok do you recommend to try and find a hotel in (being a first-timer in Bangkok)?

It's rather difficult to decide on accommodation as you'd like somewhere nice and with girl action. But I've got no clue in what area to search.

Not just the cops but the change in demographics over the last few years has scared a lot of the gals away. The area was always a bit shabby, but it is downright disgusting now.

Depends on what you are looking for but since you posted the question in this forum I will assume that girls are part of the equation. If that is the case, look for something in the Nana / Soi 4 / lower Sukhumvit area. Anywhere from Soi 4 (intersects Sukhumvit which is a main drag) to Soi 17 is fine. Lots of restaurants, tourists, internet cafes, bars, billiards, hotels at all price ranges and so on. And girls. Lots of them.

I have a 15 hour layover in Bangkok on a Thurs night. I don't get in until 11:30P though. What would be my best bet? Looks like Soi Cowboy is open until around 2:30, Nightclubs later, soapies closed. I have been to Nana plaza a few years back and enjoyed it, but that is all I have done. Yes I have RTFF, but the search feature is not working correctly for me after I log in. Gives me links that are to wrong posts. No idea why, but research is a little challenging and trip fastly approaching.

Again, as I suggested to Neew, Novotel on Siam square is a good bet. You can check in, pick up a girl from their disc and take her to your room. Disc is open until about 2 am, I think.

I always stay at the Novotel on Siam square. It is a mid-price nice hotel. Right next to all the big malls and metro and has a good in-house pick up bar / disco (called CM2). Or, you can take a ride to Nana or Soi Cowboy and bring your own girl, simple no-cost registration at the desk and they allow the girl to go to your room.

Nice hotel, but not much of a neighborhood for fun stuff. Outcall is your best bet. (or a taxi to one of the better areas for play.)

When I was there I arrived at 1AM. The bellman that showed me to my room offered to get me massage girl. 20 minutes later she was there and she spent the night. 500baht tip to the bellman. 2000 for the girl. It was the perfect finish to 28 hours of travel.
