After a 16 years absence from Thailand due to the inconvenience of being married, I finally got a quick weekend in Bangkok. The last time I was in Pattaya and Bangkok I was 26 years old and back them my goal was quantity over quality, but now at 42 and only 2 days free, my goal was quality over quantity.

4 pm. Saturday - The Lord Palace Soi Ratchada 7.

I actually cruised past Som's Haven earlier that night (8 pm or so) and there was a large restaurant crowd at that corner place. Feeling a bit shy, I did a meandering you-turn and left. When I went past later there were still quite a few people, but I decided IDGAF and went in anyway. That's kind of been my attitude since then.
