All I am saying is that while the Coronavirus is real and commands our serious attention, it is not a disaster or pandemic yet for any country except maybe China. I am not sure it will get there in thailand. One of my most disappointing thai trips was shortly after the king passed. I hesitated on going but thought with all the earlier closures and tourist numbers down the supply and demand curves would work in my favor, total fail. Selection wasn't a problem at all, but there was movement at all on prices or service. In fact in a lot of ways I think it was worse since with the bars closing at midnight I was there at close and the girls wouldn't negotiate worth a shit, not even on 500 thb. Due to the shortened hours they pushed drinks heavy and then got all sorts of pushbacks, only ST, only NANA hotels, wouldn't come down from 3 k to 2500, list goes on. It was all in all just annoying and got on my nerves, probably went home alone more than any other trip. I think it was best explained as thai economics. Instead of the normal supply and demand curves as demand falls prices go up since the girl is only going to get 1 customer every 3-5 days instead of 1 every day and treats her pussy as a resource that is going to wear out and can be held for future use. We all know that age and that missed night is one less in their total working life to earn, but that just isn't the thai mindset.

Where I would expect to see it is in the part timers first since they are more tuned into earning now since it can't be earned tomorrow, so maybe the FL, wechat, and thermae part timers will see the opportunity first.

Interesting observation and I share it. I was here before and after the King died and I did not notice one iota of improvement in the Value For Money ratio while doom, gloom and lower punter traffic prevailed for many months, even years.
