Check for that before you even bother with amusing banter about how hansum you are and how hot she is to be with you tonight. "Fiw" means "to feel", it's not a Thai word but when Thais say the word "feel" (in English) it sounds like "fiw".

"Fan" is for girlfriend, so "FiwFan " means "GFE" or "feeling like a girlfriend".

I'm passing through the area and have spent a couple of days here. I visited a couple of times pre-COVID and it's nice being back.

The standard seems to have risen to 3 k baht for ST, though 2. 5 k is also out there. I think earlier in the night is really the best bet for selection.

Finally, I made a pass up Soi 3 looking for the Russians that used to be out that way. I didn't see anything at the Grace Hotel or Royal Garden. I guess they got raided and never reopened. The halal spot I like is still there so it wasn't a total loss.

The exchange rate right now is actually very, very close to what it was when I last visited. I feel that inflation has hit slightly with food costs and everything else. Not a ton, but enough that when I was here last time it felt like everything was really inexpensive and now it feels like it's not too bad.

I only got sucked in because NOTHING was looking alluring enough to pay stupid prices and a real cutie SEEMED interested enough that just maybe she'll barfine. If not, no biggie. I'll have a couple drinks with her and bounce. I didn't care to spend a little change for small time chatting and BS'and with a hot young thang.

Each time it was "2" drinks for her. Long story short, I burned $100 in record time. That shock came when I felt barfining here was not an option and asked for the bill. Prices were insane and she said something to the effect that she does not do that. To be lighter skin on the images and yea the face is usually fixed up a bit too. Noticed the ones in agencies tend to give better service at least in my experience (tried like 6 ladies). The agencies do just put up a generic ad for all their ladies so everything listed is not always going to be on the menu. Some things I don't like: Dunkin Donuts no longer sells the chocolate Bavarian, SOL seems to have closed, Bier Garden is a shell of itself, and Viva 26 bar at Chatachak is GONE. And these days, I think if you come here SOLELY for the gogo scene, you will be disappointed, especially if you're familiar with, as Goatscot says, 25 years ago. As the Thais say, "same, same, but different". Plenty of things to see up-country, history, temples, and all. BKK is a good jumping off point for other countries, though Myanmar seems to me no-go right now. But Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, VietNam (still have to check out the 'Nastyland one of my trips).

My solution: go get a salt tapping at Sakura Akasuri up on Soi 55, step over to Foodland's Took Lae Dee restaurant a couple blocks further down, sit at the counter, have a decent Thai meal and watch the chefs working, then walk a couple more blocks down to &Ampersand on the corner of 55 and soi 13, for some FANTASTIC gelato (OK, so much for my ONLY Thai food, I'm NOT a fanatic). Hey, it's ice cream, who doesn't like ice cream?

I spent a month there and had a great time. Well mostly; at least you haven't caught Covid ....
