I went quite early at Billboard, around the 10 pm mark on a weekday. It is definitely a hot place! Many girls, few punters. I discovered a place on Soi Cowboy that has been mentioned before on the forum.

The place is called Penny Black. It's like right across Country Road bar at the beginning of the soi (Asok side). It seems to be the hotspot to go to for all the gogo dancers and freelancers after they finish their work in the bars. The place was packed with people around 2 am Saturday. The ratio was definitely more working ladies than the guys.

The Bangkok scene is exceptional now because there are so few punters, and zero prospect of more coming in anytime soon. I seem to one of the few regulars who is experiencing and enjoying a perceived change in the go go scene re lack of competition, reduced prices etc. I guess the difference can be explained by the old adage that all perception is relative.

When thinking about it the following cliches come to mind.

On a different topic, the relationship between pricing and service and whether negotiating results in a change in attitude on the part of the girl I would say this has not been my experience. I"m not a cheap charlie but neither am I a chump. I know the going rates and don't overpay.
