i had honestly hoped this wouldn't devolve into a pointless flame war, but there are some important points that should be recognized in this discussion. for those that are open to reason i'd like to present them.

first, i can't see that taking pictures (even nude pictures) necessarily shows a disrespect for thai women. it's certainly no more disrespectful than to barfine a woman for st, lt, bbbj, dfk or whatever, and i don't say this facetiously. wgs are engaged knowingly and willingly in a business usually to support their families. we the members of the internationalsexguide tend to unashamedly be the patrons their business. as i see it respect in a business transaction is shown by each side coming to an agreement and honestly following through on each's part of the bargain. anyone that's followed this discussion will recognize that i don't advocate "hidden cameras" or "secret surveillance." if you've come to a mutual agreement with your model, there is no disrespect involved.

you purposedly miss the main point made by barko: that is that what is questionnable is not taking the pictures, but posting them in a public forum without their consent. as simple as that..
i fully agree with barko's points.
the only case where i think it is ok to post uncensored, full face pictures of wgs is when they have agreed formally to you doing so. it is part of the deal you must have with a wg, like any other. for instance, you would not have forced anal sex with a wg if she does not agree. that would be called "[CodeWord123]". similarly you do not publish pictures of wgs without their consent. period.

Franco, I don't know you but I'm guessing you are or will be becoming an occasional visitor to Thailand and will be expending much time and finance in doing so. I would think it'd be a shame if you were buffaloed into taking less interesting "visual souvenirs" as a result of bad advice from this board. I may get some flack for saying this there does seem to be a local old hand cohort here that does whatever they can to discourage the taking and display of honest and uncensored provider images. One such old hand (probably NOT the one quoted above), had indicated that he lives and works in Thailand teaching students of which some were progeny of Thailand's elite. As you might imagine his pictures were heavily censored, and given his position I can respect this. But as a tourist this a bad attitude you need not adopt.

You're probably not mistaken and can find willing WL models with a little effort. I've taken pictures on previous visits some of which can be found in the Photo Gallery and/or it's archives. Don't know the law in Thailand, but it may well be that nudity is illegal, as is prostitution. LE doesn't seem to actively pursue, but some discretion may be advisable.

Being a tourist, I carry a camera with me at all times. If you're in Soi Cowboy as bars are opening at 4PM, you may find photo ops as I have. If the bar isn't crowded and you're the first customer, the girls may happily trade topless pics for the purchase of drinks. If you're the type of monger that gripes and groans at paying 1500 baht for ST, you'll probably choke and gag at the thought of paying for just pictures. The choice is yours, but I've found it to be good entertainment for the money.

You may also have likely success at Beergarden on Soi 7. Let the girl of choice know you're interested in ST AND pictures and she may not charge extra. From my experience no hidden cameras or deception is necessary. MPs tend to be more problematic, but not impossible with some discretion.

There are some important aspects of taking and posting pictures in this forum. Most girls will agree for clothed pics and action pics that do not show their face. If you put clothed pic and action pic you can imagine the total pic.
I do not believe working girl pics need to be photoshopped to mask her identity. You are not posting it in facebook or any other easily accessible website.
On the other hand pics of normal girls can be posted here but hide the identity.

However, in reality the quality was high but not that high and some of them have attitude problem. Also some A+ goes empty handed. According to the Russian they usually move to Spicy or Shock after 2am. However, she does not seem to worry too much about the high price in CM2.

I hope that some senior member may be able to shed some light on this issue.

Arrived in Bangkok after 23 hours flight (13 hours flight plus 10 hours business only stay in Dubai). I was tired so went to Beer Garten in soi 7 and got pissed. On way back picked up a nice slim cute girl in front of Landmark hotel. The girl was well-spoken and had an excellent sense of humour. She had been to Singapore and Hong Kong on ‘business’ trips. Dude, them Uzbeks on Soi 4 are f-ing scary. They will cut a brother. They are some serious hard-core strange. I've seen them pick fights with falangs in the 7/11 across from the Rajah, seemingly "just because. " The check-out girls are always yelling at them about something or another. Run, run far.

Aspen Suites is GF. They do not check nor ask for ID.

My experience was different, re the ID cards, but that was last year. One could wave off the guard, but the presumption was to check and record the ID.

i've stayed there, see answers inline, below.

i'm staying at the aspen suites and have a couple of questions:

1- how far away is this from soi cowboy and nana? is it best to just take a cab there?

nana is a quick 10-min walk. it can seem longer if you are drunk, or doing a speak-no-english walk with your latest friend. it's about 2-300 meters to annie's soapy, turn right, and then 50-74 meters to soi 4. they have a tuk-tuk service that will drop you off, but not bring you back. tuk-tuks in front of nana entertainment plaza can be had for 100 thb, some down to 40thb if you explain how short the trip is. (just repeat soi 2 a number of times.)

2- are katoeys really *that* hard to spot?

if you have to ask, then yes. lots of hints on spotting them can found here and on other ibbs. most you will spot right away, others will surprise you. if you are lucky the surprise will come before you get back to the aspen. here's a suggestion: nearly all women can bend their elbow beyond 180 degrees (ie, backwards) when extending their arm. nearly all man can not. if you never go out with a "girl" who can't extend past 180 then you've decreased your risk considerably.

3- i noticed some reports on **** girls and "cards". to avoid possible legal problems, what is the protocol for id, and is it normal to ask them to produce it?

yes, it is normal. before you go with a girl ask two important id related questions: 1) you have id card? 2) okay you go hotel?

if the girl pushes for a short-time room to the point of refusing your hotel, especially one so close, then you should be careful.

you can diminish the risk of legal trouble by allowing the hotel to check and hold the id card. fwiw: somehow the thai police always know when to knock down the door to catch the tourist literally with his pants down. not all payoffs to the police come in the form of tea-money. don't make yourself someone elses bribe. lots of lovely ladies in their early twenties who have ids and need them because they look so young. you'll not go wanting.

remember this: 543. an easy sequence, no? look at the id, subtract 543 from the birth year and what's left is the western birth year.

4- for lt, is there something that needs to be worked out with the hotel desk?

not at the aspen. heck, on tripadvisor some punter bragged about all the ladies he brought back with him to the aspen, and the management replied it was happy the guy and his friends felt welcome.

iirc (one year ago) as you enter the hotel a guard will ask you for her id. you can elect to waive him off, but you shouldn't. if the girl is in the game, the she knows the score and will not cry foul. you can also make a joke with the guard by asking "not ladyboy, yes? " ha-ha. call it a last line of defense.
