Quickie report gathered from too many nights over the past two months.

I have grown to rather enjoy the two Mandarin bars in Nana Plaza. Up the escalator, through the touts and then back in the right corner. One is on that same (second) floor and has table dancers, the other is up a flight of stairs (not the general use stairwell) and has two floors of fun, though one is rarely open.

The table dance Mandarins on the second floor has a number of elevated gogo dance platforms around which patrons sit, drink, flirt and play. The ladies range from 5's to 9's, with most being a nice 7. Some nights are better than others (for example, last night was stretch mark night) but the girls seem to enjoy dancing and often playfully compete with each other to see who can be the most imaginative and sexy. If you like girls with good attitudes, playful spirits and a strong GFE orientation, this is a good bar to hit.

The service girls are also in play, same 600 baht barfine as the regulars, but they don't get taken out a lot. For my money, it's like playing the pro-am circuit. Yes, they go with customers for money, so they are pros, but they aren't hardened or burnt out or over-worked in that regard.

Under the same general management is the upstairs bar (girls and momasans float between the two). As written in previous posts, the bar hosts two shifts (teams) of dancers. One short, young and topless. The other older and more exotic. There are no ladyboys. The young shift are as barely-legal looking as I have found in Bangkok, though most are in their early and mid-twenties. There is less pressure here than in most bars and while the momasans will try to get you to make quick barfine, tell them once you will make up your mind on your own and they will back away. Speak directly and they will act accordingly. Be non-specific and they will continue to try to hustle you into selecting a girl.

Early in the night the girls want 2000 THB for a short-time in your hotel, 1500 THB for a short time in a short-time hotel within Nana. Later you can get 1500 THB for your hotel, and 2500 THB long-time. The girls will never admit to these prices in front of others, but will cave quickly in private negotiation.

I've had success converting a 1500 short-time in my hotel into a 2000 long-time.

Be warned, however, if you go late you may well be customer number two or three for the younger, barely legal girls.

There is a mamasan from Buriram (spelling?) who is a bit of a large lady. Her English is very good and she is an excellent host. Buy her one drink and she will make sure you get what you want, aren't hounded by the other momasans and that the girl you go with understands what you expect.

With a limited 1 week time in the lower soi Sukhumvit Majestic suites, I only able to visit my Favourite places and Not wasted time for hunting some unknown quality one.

In the past, I Was Not happy with the Poseidon, Cupidid, and especially the Pegasus. Surely, the Pegasus is quite frankly expensive with a membership cost and Not very friendly impressive girls. That was my experience in there. On the other hand, the Annie's MP. Is Not exactly a Cream of the crop, but, it is always deliver a Solid above average performance for a 2500baht 2 hours fun and relax.

The soi Cowboy and NEP. Are my places at Night for people watching and street food on top of the Go Go bars as usual. I prefer Bar Girls and Not interrested street walkers Girl.

With all due respect, you make statements without proof.. How can you know that everyone on ISG is there because of the photo gallery? I, for one, am not. I am here because ISG gives me advice on where to go, when, with whom etc... But I have no interest in seeing any ISG member's penis inserted in an unknown cavity. And with regards to more "quality photos", there are better places on the internet to see erotic/pornographic pictures..To each his own, I fully respect those who like the photo gallery,but don't generalise according to your opwn taste.

Once you get out of the taxi at the J.W. Marriott on Soi 2, how do you walk to the Nana Entertainment Plaza? Looking at the aerial photos available on Google it seems like the parking lot backs up to Soi 4. Where, exactly, should you walk?

Walk out to Sukhumvit and turn right. I am assuming that the cab dropped you at the main entrance of the JW. This means that you are turning away from the overpass that should be on your left. Walk a few blocks, you will pass Bully's, a couple of pharmacies, when you get to the gas station you are at Soi 4. Turn right on Soi 4 and NEP will be a few short meters up on the other side of the street. I am sure you will find it.

For those wanting to get to Nana and looking to avoid the taxi come-on, if you ask a taxi for J.W. Marriott on Soi 2 you can save money and time. The drivers know the shortcut into the parking lot, and are less likely to try to sell you on their sponsored bar or massage parlor.

I think you bring up a very valid point in that photography may be on a providers menu of services, but it should be honestly negotiated for. As a counter example, I haven't met one thai girl that says she doesn't mind engaging in shit stinking anal intercourse and then have the details of her activity including name, location, price, and further carnal info posted on sex forums or the elsewhere on the internet. It's not my own personal sex preference but a casual perusal of reports here would indicate that it happens all the time. Of course the girls are in business and likely won't complain about getting more business. They've extended the skytrain walkway, so these days you can walk above the big intersection and go down the stairs on the other side. Whoever did those stairs wasn't having a good day though. Some are a bit off.

I return Bangkok after the last visit in 2009. This November, 2010 trip still I stay at the Majestic suites and paid an extra 80baht for a room in the back after I realised front room 603 has Noisy traffic at night. The NEP. Scene has now less customers due to clean up vacated all Bars in the middle of compound? Or maybe the baht rising against USD? Exchange rate is a Bad enough 1usd = 29 baht and heading south!

I Am No economist, but, I predict 1usd will eventually gets around 26 baht a year from now.

For MP. I am happy with all the Visits with my favourites places Annie's and others.

Soi Cowboy also has downturn 10% less mongers there.

Overall, Bangkok is still stand great on my list for adult entertainment.

Pahllus: Do so many girls say no to pictures and video that it is worth using a hidden camera and the risk of possible jail time? This is an actual (as in not rhetorical) question.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but this is not obscure hard to find stuff.

This pretty clear map. Just follow the bright green line. For positional context, as you exit the Aspen, you will want to turn left to follow the line. When you get to Annies Soapy, turn right and walk down the side street, it's open to foot traffic. That side street t-bones Soi 4. Turn left, walk 100 meters or so to Nana Entertainment Plaza. You'll see it when you get there.

My suggestion.

Go around 5 pm and sit in one of the open air bars near the entrance. Big Dogs is my favorite. Watch the talent coming to work. Ignore the girls in the bar (or not, up to you) and just get acclimated. It's a lot of fun.

Were I you, my first stop in Nana would be Mandarins at around 8pm. Go up the escalator, then past the touts to walk UPSTAIRS to the second floor of the Mandarin bar. Early in the night are loads of girls. Small and young in one dance shift (topless) and tall and exotic in the other.
