Yes, you still need to sign the bill if you're going to run a tab or, if not, pay after each drink order. Of course, the server has already delivered your drink and the girl's "tequila and coke" two Lady Drinks by then if that is what she ordered. But you could balk at that point and I suppose the server would have to take one of the Lady Drinks back and re-write the bill.

Unfortunately, despite the warnings here, the last time I was in Bangkok I was hit several times. I usually ask in the beginning how much is the drink the girl is ordering. However, I forget the next time and they slip the 2 drinks in. In a way, I don't want to act cheap and keep asking how much each drink costs.
