Basically, our hobby has been diminished and sometimes shut down.

There is really not that much to discuss on this forum. Just look at some of the other countries listed here. Some have NO responses or reports for months, so except for a few reports here and there not much is happening.

Mostly people are posting to pass the time And perhaps trying to catch up on the latest until everything opens up and we can go back to normal. It's call boredom.

LOL, no one at this moment is talking about under or overpaying because mongering is not really available, no one will have a problem with overpaying when it does, including me. I for one am not too keen on getting back to LOS as soon as it opens. There will be so many mongers with blue balls rushing to the airports when the lockdown is lifted. There will be lines outside of the massage parlors. Prices will sky rocket because of the demand and mongers would be happy paying due to a couple of years of savings.

I think I'll wait till things calm down.

What happened to the discussions on overpaying or how good it was in the old days or even posts with lots of acronyms?

Just to be fair, I’m guilty of this too as I have not banged anyone in over 9 months as restrictions have mostly kept me home bound. So I have nothing to report so just to keep myself sane, I just answer some of the questions others have posted even if not hobby related. But in some ways many are related as keeping track of Covid news could provide when and how it would eventually end and we could get out and monger again.
Just my opinion of course.

I think they could be considered semi-pro's: meaning someone engaging in an activity for pay or gain but not as a full-time occupation. Not sure how you were able to determined that on sight, but YMMV.

I couldn't tell by sight, but these two told me their regular day jobs at the first meeting. They gave me their phone numbers and I saw the Tesco worker every Saturday for two months. If memory serves me correctly then I believe it was before injecting yourself with Lysol. It was preventive first and if that didn't work then use the proven cure (which in theory should work if the Lysol didn't kill you first).

My wife is an attending physician in three large south bay area CA hospitals. Chloroquine cocktails were used extensively until it became a political issue. The libtards who run the three large county hospitals banned the use of Chloroquine. People died because of it.

Can you prove that "people died because of it?" Did the hospital and your wife keep detailed statistics of who had the chloroquine cocktail, and who didn't; and subsequently who acquired COVID19 at the hospital and how didn't? I would take the word of the CDC and the AMA over the anecdotal evidence of husband of some unknown county hospital doctor any day. Leave the science to the people who actually understand it, and please keep your opinions to yourself.

As for your article from the NIH, read the title: it is a paper about the use of Chloroquine for SARS-CoV, a related but different virus.

Cherry-picking case studies is not useful. Rather, you should look at the scientific consensus which includes all case studies. HCQ has shown no benefit as a prophylactic. And, HCQ was often touted as a cure.

Your HCQ threshold seems to be high efficacy. Mine is mitigation, and credible studies have shown some net positive effect. I know multiple doctors who were taking HCQ as a preventative measure before the vaccines came along. You go with what you got.
