I used to frequent Bangkok Beat but that was three years ago. I remember short time back then was between 1500 to 2 k but not sure if inflation or other factors has increased that rate.

Rates are different for those on the street, other freelancers, and those in a bar. Hillary bar girls should be higher than what you paid in BB before, at a guess, without having taken any girls there. Street girls can get 1. 5 K or even less. Beware you might get as good as what you pay for.

Seems to be called Chula Bhesaj in English however the spelling is quite misleading. Should be pronounced like "Joola Peh-Sut" (Sut rhymes with hut however not if you are in northern England/Scotland). Peh sounds like "Pair" if you can drop the "R" sound. Peh-sut is a Thai word (short form) for Pharmacy or pharmalogical medicine. Learned it on my vocab list, and "Peh-sut-cha-gorn" is a Pharmacist

Shit. Pulled 10 K from ATM today, and tonight can't quite account for where it all went excluding what remains and forget exactly how much was in wallet before taking the 10 K out of ATM. Having never had problems with stealing girls and this girl was known for a long time, let my guard down and left wallet in pants while taking a shower. Temptation could be too much.

I've done this many times and thought to myself "what did I spend my money on". Then after a few hours or the next day I think back through what I spent and realised it was more than I thought. Usualy forget that I went to the supermarket or had a few extra beers after lunch.

I have been reading this BKK thread in preparation for an upcoming BKK trip and have seen what seemed like a few very brief or vague passing references or allusions to Middle Eastern freelancers in BKK, if I understood them correctly. The most detailed description that I found is this post on a ST session with a freelancer from near the Grace Hotel. The new king 1000 baht notes and 100 baht notes look far too similar, imo.

For this reason, I keep my 1000's (and sometimes 500's) separate from smaller notes. It's often imprudent (in a taxi) or impolite (for a street vendor) to use a 1000, so I don't use them often for the most common transactions where pulling out my wallet with 1000's would be inconvenient. When I do use them, then I'm sure I broke out the big one, and nobody can pull the "you only gave me a 100" trick.

The bad part is now I suspect her of pilfering just 1 K to 2 K because I can't account for everything, but also forget exactly how much spent at restaurant and supermarket, etc. Do know the pharmacy and alcohol expenditure exactly. If a larger amount was missing, would be obvious quickly. However too many miscellaneous expenses today.
