International flights will be getting more dangerous than normal soon perhaps? I don't know if airport heat signature tests are effective or not.

My regular might want to come to my Hotel in Bangkok (assuming I stay in BKK), since her normal work avenues have probably dried up badly.

I'm in Frankfurt right now and it is incredible. You enter an FKK (especially Oase and Palace) and you see no guys, only girls everywhere who all make a bee line for you. The mongers are spooked but the girls must eat. In the rooms everything is still on the menu.

Geez is it really getting that bleak out there. Good old days gone, prices up, looks and standards down, attitudes atrocious, too many Asians dominating the landscape, farangs no longer king now often getting the cold shoulder, bare body sex hard to get, too many fake noses and tats, immigration a pain in the ass, pandemic virus spreading, pollution levels off the charts.

Or could it be.

Adjusted for inflation prices are mostly still reasonable, Thai women are still the nicest and most beautiful in the world, farangs rather than Asians are still who Thai women prefer as husbands, the problem getting bare body sex is a result of the girls being smarter when it comes to their health, nose jobs and tats are really not that much of a turn off, if you follow the rules immigration is straightforward, and yes pollution is a problem but it's a problem most everywhere in developing economies.

Personally I'm fortunate to live where ever I want but I choose to live here most of the year because I love the people I love the food and I love the massages++.

P4P girls in Thermae and in most of Pattaya exude a similar grindingly boring "too cool for you" attitude. It seems to be ingrained in the current prevailing Customer-Hooker dynamic. As you say, very different from the past.

But even a 27 year old male friend I was with a few weeks ago in Pattaya who really "has it" that every girl in Pattaya wanted could not find a session with any of the girls he took on Soi 6 or Walking Street bars he'd want to repeat even for free.

He used to live in Bangkok and, not coincidentally, had the same "meh" reaction to any session he had with Thermae girls.

Now he focuses on the dating sites for side trips from his Thai girlfriend and mother of their baby.

The white man is just not in favor these days.

I've been wondering where the stunners are too, spend about a week and a half in Pattaya and a week in Bangkok.

There are pretty girls for sure, but they've all had a baby or 2. Every once in a while you find a 20-21 yr old who hasn't but they are hard to find.

I never knew about thermae until I read this post last week, went to go check it out. It was absolutely jam packed with girls, like 200 inside at least and another 50 or so outside.

I'm not a bad looking guy and quite young (30), normally I get quite a bit of attention from regular non P4P Thai girls, But in thermae it seemed out of the 200 only 5 or so even had a interest in talking to me.

Definitely a different vibe there, 98% Asian men, and even boys, saw a couple of Korean boys in their early 20's getting lots of attention but they were just looking.

Some more friendly girls were sitting outside and found myself a 24 yr old banker which was quite pretty.

I just keep wondering where the fit 18-22 yr olds are hiding, I really do like a little muscle tone on the stomach.

I haven't been to soi cowboy in years, is it better in this regard than nana? Or am I missing out on more fun freelance places?

I agree there are far fewer attractive gals in the scene. Of course my tastes have changed since I moved here as well. One day you wake up and most Isaan gals just don't look that good. I really do the GoGo scene so I can't comment, but I will say that in FL places like Thermae the young guys have it. Same seems to go for soi 6 in Pattaya.

For example nearly all Bangkok Bank employees in central Pattaya strike me as being as sexy and good-looking as the best go-go bar girls except the bank employees are markedly taller to boot. This is the real shift that has taken place.

Agreed. Lots of very attractive non-p4 p gals. But they are for sure not interested in older men, whereas 20 years ago, they were. That's economic development for you.

I think there are far fewer old horny sexpats then there were 20 years ago. There are also a lot more young farang dudes. But most are not at all interested in p4 p. I do see some young farang dudes with some very good looking gals, but for the most part I see them with gals I wouldn't give a second look to. They are dating at the same level they would be back home. Sad.

I think there are far fewer old horny sexpats then there were 20 years ago. There are also a lot more young farang dudes. But most are not at all interested in p4 p. I do see some young farang dudes with some very good looking gals, but for the most part I see them with gals I wouldn't give a second look to. They are dating at the same level they would be back home. Sad.

Well said. I moved to Thailand in my late 20's and I remember being mildly annoyed I was getting roughly the same quality girls, mostly from the same pool, as 50 year old Farang geezers (and I'm not talking rich or smooth ones). On the other hand, the thought that I'd have a similar privilege in my 50's was comforting. Alas, it was not to be.

I get a sense this goes beyond the dating market, that Thais in general respect Farang far less than 10-20 years ago. We have dropped a few rungs in the social hierarchy. In the past, Farang had a significant undeserved boost in status, right now we're about where we should be, but given the trend, I'm afraid in a few years we'll be too low for comfort, perhaps on par with where Indian men are today.

In an egalitarian society where casual racism is considered unacceptable, I wouldn't be too concerned. However, in a hierarchical place like Thailand, status matters way more than is immediately obvious.

Are you talking about regular girlfriends and live ins? Because I really don't see ageism interfering with ordinary P4 P encounters. Not for men under age 80 or something, that is.

I see some of the best looking girls in the bars sitting ON, drinking with and leaving with some pretty damn out of shape old dudes of all ethnicities. I rarely see one holding out for the youngest, best looking men in the bar. And I see some lovely young things sitting in, say, Monsoon with farangs who look like they could be my dad. Possibly escorts or other dating site meet ups.

The cold shoulder for farangs (of any age) from the best lookers in places like Thermae or 2-3 go-go bars around town are exceptions.

And, as you have pointed out, some of that is due to the fact that the girls in venues with predominantly Asian clientele don't want to be seen flirting with or, god forbid, leaving with a farang for fear of being put on a "No Fly List" by their Asian customers overly sensitive about such things.
